Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

my fourth and final entry for the free Keurig:
when my children were little, I used to have a chalkboard menu with the breakfast items they could choose from for that day. with a narrowing of their choices, it made my mornings easier. And of course a fresh cup of gourmet coffee in the morning allows me to sit for 10 minutes, uninterrupted, and enjoy my coffee!

Best tip to manage a busy morning, prepare the night before. Get clothes set out, lunch packed, anything that can be done, gets done so everything is organized and ready to go in the morning.

I lay my clothes out the night before so that I don’t have to search for what I want to wear in the morning.
I can not get through a hectic morning at work without a good cup of coffee. I would love to bring my own instead of buying on the way.

About the only thing that helps us is to lay out outfits and lunches the night before. And it’s still a mad rush!

I always get my coffee ready the night before, next to the empty lunch boxes, so in the hustle of the morning all I do is push a button!

if the morning is super hectic, i’ll announce “i’m driving to school” – this gives us an extra 10 minutes and i start my day about the same time, since i’m usually tempted to clean up the kitchen or start laundry if i walk back in the house after the bus picks up. coffee isn’t for me, but my hubby and daughter love it.

I get the clothes out the night before and always set the alarm to give me 30 minutes before the kids get up. Sometimes that 30 minutes is my time to hit snooze a few times, other times I use it to get a little coffee under my belt and ready for the day

to get our morning off to a good start I run at least 3 miles. I come home and have my coffee before my kids get up. I have been dying for a Kuerig. Was trying to save up for one by giving a lady I work w 5 dollars a day, everyday I worked. Then my husband got laid off. Had to spend that money on a bill. :(

Hectic Morning tip: If I know we will be busy the next morning, then the night before I do all I can to get ready. Cereal, spoons & bowls out and ready. Water and coffee in the coffee maker. Clothes for everyone – out & ready. Lunch(es)packed and good to go. Anything we need for the next day (maps, school work, keys, bags, etc.) on the table. Even if I get less sleep I don’t have to deal with the major chaos!

How I manage hectic mornings is I plan ahead the night before. If I know ahead of time that the morning is going to be run run and run. I will do things the night before like put clothes out ready to go the next morning, or make lunches the night before and put them in the fridge. I pack diaper bags, backpacks, ect the night before. I will do anything that can be done to save us from having to rush around! If that did not work I stop for a few sec. take a deep breath, clear my head and then start delegating things to do, such as turn off lights, find shoes, ect to others in the family! And the fresh smell of the coffee brewing some how comforts me and calms me down!
