Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

I load up the coffee maker the night before and set the brew timer for the morning so it’s ready to go!

Set out my clothes and my daughters’ clothes and diaper bag the night before. Pack lunch for work and have it ready to go. Coffee would be great for my husband…it’s hot chocolate for me but it still does the trick!

My husband and I just committed to start making our coffee at home every morning to avoid spending the extra money on “fancy” coffee out…so boy would I love a system like this! I really think the only way to handle a hectic morning is to do as much as possible the night before and rise early in the morning. And pray. A LOT! Having a good cup of coffee is something I look forward to and provides comfort in the midst of chaos!

I’ve wanted one of these for awhile!~ :)

Hectic mornings: make sure you set the alarm early enough to get up and do what you need to do; lay out kids’ clothes/backpacks and such the night before; make hot breakfasts ahead of time and freeze them for microwave heating, and breathe. :)

I basically can’t get my husband moving without coffee. Considering he is the force behind getting my daughter and I out the door on time a good coffee and coffee maker are a must. I’m also a huge fan of breakfast in the car. I have sippy cups filled with milk and cereal in ziploc bags. My daughter thinks it’s a ‘treat’.

We have hectic mornings that I manage by waking up earlier, lol. By the time I make breakfast and pack lunches I have just enough time to get myself ready for work.

I have 2 year old twins so mornings are pretty hectic. My husband and I try to split the morning duties so it makes things go faster. He gets up and starts the coffee and we fix our coffee right before we head out the door. My office has a Keurig and I would love to have one at home.

As much as I love love love fresh ground coffee, I grind mine the night before and pre-load my pods or my french press. That way I’m ready to go. I also pre-make my kids’ breakfasts w/juice and have them ready on the shelf of the fridge, so they can “grab and go”
