Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

My tips and tricks are to make sure to have everything layed out and planned the night before. I have the kids lay out their school clothes, book bags are packed and at their doors ready to be picked up on the way out. I am NOT a coffee drinker, however, I LOVE to drink hot tea and hot chocolate in the mornings, evenings, and right before bed. I love the selections Keurig has for the teas as well as cocoas.

I plan ahead for hectic mornings… i try and get as most done the night before that I can. WHen I don’t do that, yes, I am hurting! And then I tend to take the hecticness out on my 2 yr old, so I always try and plan ahead:) Sad thing is, my coffee doesn’t fit into the plan until i get to work, because i don’t have one of these handy dandy keurigs, yet! One of these would maybe help us all out! :-)

I’ve never had a fresh gourmet cup of coffee, so I think this would be great. I like to make sure everything is set out and lunch packed to ease the hectic morning syndrome.

My mornings are on the go! As a working mom of three small children…mornings go fast! I teach kindergarten this year and my mornings don’t start without a cup of coffee! A happy teacher and happy mom is one who has had the perfect cup coffee ~ ok so sometimes a sip of great coffee will have to do!

I have a 3-mo-old and a 3-yr-old so mornings are crazy. It takes forever to get out the door. To speed things up, I like to set things out the night before so we can get everybody dressed and ready in one spot, instead of running all over the house. I also like to put everything we need for the next day by the front door, so I don’t forget anything.

mornings are tough– i never have liked getting up, and still don’t like it now! even in the coldest winter months, i still prefer iced coffee, but it doesn’t have to be morning. I think my go-to tip is laying my keys on top of or with things that i HAVE to have that day & don’t want to forget.

The only gourmet coffee I’ve ever had was at my mother-in-law’s home. It was sooo good! It probably would be even better with a good book.
