Win-It Wednesday: Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and New K-Cups!

November 10, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 2,351 Comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting a 24-hour giveaway to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’ve shared my thoughts on Keurig Single-Cup Brewers in the past, and I still love my Keurig just as much today.

I’m always up for trying new K-cup flavors, so I was happy to test drive the new Millstone and Folgers varieties.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on-shelf in over 50 blends, and offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect. The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

I really enjoyed them, with the Folgers Black Silk K-cups being the one I liked the best. I like my coffee strong and bold, so this one was the closest to what I would typically buy. The Millstone Hazelnut K-cups were fun for a change of pace. They’re perfect for an after-dinner treat in lieu of a decadent dessert!

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

  • Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)
  • Millstone Hazelnut Cream
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf
  • Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer and four samples of the new Millstone and Folgers K-Cup varieties!

Tips for making the morning less hectic.

I wake up 15 minutes before the kids to get a head start on making snacks and packing backpacks. (this is after I flip on the coffee pot).

My best tip for avoiding a hectic morning is definitely to prepare the night before by setting out clothes, hair accessories, shoes backpack etc.

I make lunches the night before. I lay out the clothes for my kids or have them help me pick out their outfits. I also make sure their backpacks are ready to go and next to the door. Their shoes are put next to the stool that they sit on. I wake up before the kids and have a flavored cup VIA (or instant coffee) to give me a few minutes to review my list from the night before to make sure that I don’t forget anything. With a three year-old and four year-old, it isn’t always easy to get them out the door. This helps me. And, I have a list of things that I need when leaving next to my door so I don’t forget anything.

I have two teenagers and a 6 mo old, so the night before I make their lunches, have the coffee pot set up, sign any school papers etc…..my lil one wakes up every morning around the same time 6:30-7ish so I wake up everyday at 5:30a(I kid you not) so I can have my morning coffee and check my FB(including your page) without any crying baby or screaming teenagers fighting for the bathroom. That extra hr to myself with my coffee saves the kiddos and hubby from mommy having a bad day :)

I follow you on facebook! I always try to get up a little early to enjoy a great cup of coffee and prayer journalling before the hectic day sets in! It just helps to have a more calm day if I do my prayer journal first thing with a hot cup of fresh brewed coffee!

I have an hour drive in the morning to get to work, sometimes traffic is horrific. My cup of coffee on my drive to work helps me wake up and stay focused on what the day has to bring!

Lay out items for attire night before. Pack baby bags and mama bags night before. Place all items by the door or in vehicle if possible the night before. Also, lists are an organizers best friend. :) Coffee is the only thing keeping me going…in fact we might be in a love affair. However, I always seem to waste some of the pot as I am the only one in the house who drinks it!

To avoid the hectic morning everything is done the night before-showers, lunches, clothes set out etc. Then in the morning I can enjoy a cup of coffee-I program the coffeemaker the night before too-but with the Keurig I could have different flavors of coffee, tea, cocoa, apple cider for everyone-and it wouldn’t take as long to do!
