Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Nook Highchair!

June 9, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

If you’re in the market for a new high chair, the Joovy Nook should definitely be an option you look into. This thing is fantastic! My only regret is not finding it sooner so that I could have used it with more of my kids.

Some of my favorite features:

  • Folds up ultra compact — this is so important when you have a lot of baby gear and not a lot of room!
  • Five-point harness — my oldest boy was quite the Houdini, and I’m sure this feature would have kept him put. As it is, it keeps my two-year-old securely in place, and the padded straps look quite comfortable.
  • Swing-open tray — juggling a baby and a plate of food, all while trying to keep the dog from snatching a taste, is tough. The swing-open tray makes it easy to open with one hand, leaving your other hand free for wrangling!
  • Easy to clean — the leatherette version wipes clean easily, and the bright, cheery fabric covers can be tossed right in the washing machine!

Best of all the Joovy Nook just looks cool! I’m a sucker for contemporary design, and this is eye-catching, yet sturdy. Choose from black or white leatherette or orange or green fabric.

Currently I am living with my parents and one of them is unemployed. We have seven people in the house. My 5 month old is almost ready for a high chair. Some features i have been looking for in a high chair are: Cheap, Easy to clean, Easy to tote from one side of the house to the other, and also easy to tuck away when its not in use. There is always something going on in the house so being able to get it taken care of quick is essential.

The most important factors of a highchair I feel are ease of storage (because not everyone wants or has space to have it out all the time) and ease of cleaning especially the straps as talking from experience these are always the hardest part of a highchair to keep clean.

I have a 9 month old and 2 older girls. With 5 in our family I definitely look for easy storage and clean up. Our house is already cluttered and I haven’t even bought a high chair yet but my baby is growing out of her bumbo and it is not very practical for family dinners anymore..

the most important thing for me in a highchair is easy of cleaning. i hate digging food out with toothpicks.

I am definitely looking for something to easily clean. I learned that with my first daughter. Sooooo much food and goop gets spilled in the high chair when they are learning to eat on their own.

love that is folds up to get it out of the way when not needed, very helpful with twins.

I just “liked” Joovy on FB. We’re planning foundation & construction of our second baby near the beginning of the year, & the Joovy chair would be a nice start for our baby gear collecting!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
