Win-It Wednesday: Freschetta Pizza Kit!

May 12, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

Friday night is pizza night around here. Some weeks it’s takeout, sometimes homemade, and sometimes frozen, but no matter how it arrives at the table, pizza night is a weekly Kuczykowski family ritual that we all look forward to.

Last week I served new Freschetta FlatBread pizzas as our entree. Freschetta was kind enough to send our family an awesome pizza kit which included free coupons to sample Freschetta pizza, along with a pizza stone, pizza cutter, and an oven mitt to make our kitchen feel like a real Italian pizzeria. I’ve been coveting a pizza stone for some time now, so I was especially excited to prepare our FlatBread pizza with it.

Our pizza tastes run from simple to more exotic, as can be expected in a large family, so we decided to taste test the 5-Cheese, Pepperoni, and Roasted Garlic & Spinach varieties. Of course the cheese got the thumbs up from the kids, pepperoni appealed to my husband, and I especially loved the garlic. But one thing we all agreed upon is that the thin and crispy flatbread crust was what really makes this pizza special.

As this is a new product, I’m sure we’ll be seeing it on sale at many stores in the upcoming weeks. Because Freschetta knows how much we all value a good deal, they’re offering a $1/1 Freschetta FlatBread Pizza printable coupon right now!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win one of these fantastic Freschetta pizza kits to host a family pizza night.

To enter, tell me what your family does on pizza night. Do you combine pizza and movie night or game night? Is it a chance to talk and catch up on everyone’s week?

Pizza night includes eating home-made or store-bought pizza, playing games with the kids or watching a family friendly movie with the little ones falling asleep on our laps on the sofa.

Pretty much, whenever I don’t have the chance to cook dinner, my husband will pop in a frozen pizza which he does not mind since pizza is his favorite food and we have a freezer stocked full of them!

  9. Misty

    May 13, 2010 at 1:25 am

We add topping to a frozen pizza to make it our own.

  10. Nancy

    May 13, 2010 at 1:26 am

We use fridge rolls for a crust and build from there.

  11. Rick

    May 13, 2010 at 1:27 am

Sometimes it’s order in, but most of the time, it’s off to the freezer.

We take turns making that pizza run, down the block on our bikes and race for the best time!

On pizza night we like to catch up on all our recordings on the DVR. hh

I love pizza night because my 1 1/2 year old doesn’t make a large mess being finger food. We normally do frozen or premade cook at home pizza. We actually had pizza tonight.

We usually make our our pizza but I did win a Digiorno pizza party recently so we’ve been eating the leftovers from that.

  16. Jen

    May 13, 2010 at 7:38 am

We like to buy the pre-made dough and then add our own toppings so each person has their own individual self-made pizza. You would be surprised at how many toppings you normally have in your fridge that don’t add to the expense of the night (i.e., lunchmeat, veggies, etc.). We also subscribe to Netflix so we make sure we have a movie arriving in time for pizza night as well!

  17. Amy

    May 13, 2010 at 7:38 am

We never order pizza anymore, as we’ve found the frozen type are very good — much less greasy too — and cost much less. I try to keep some in the freezer all the time for those nights that dinnertime sneaks up on me.

Typically Monday is Digiorno pizza night for us!

  19. Denise

    May 13, 2010 at 7:52 am

I usually use frozen bread dough as our crust and add our toppings. Cheaper than buying pizza, and so yummy!

  20. Michelle

    May 13, 2010 at 8:18 am

We usually watch a movie on pizza nite.

  21. Jennifer

    May 13, 2010 at 8:35 am

We don’t need to do anything special on pizza night because enjoying the pizza makes it special for us!

  22. Angie W

    May 13, 2010 at 8:46 am

We have pizza night 2 times a month. I make the pizza (minus the crust) myself and try to come up with new and unique pizzas every time. It’s a great time to catch up and have some fun with dinner.

  23. Cherie McCurdy

    May 13, 2010 at 9:52 am

Most of the time, its frozen pizza for us. Ordering is too expensive.

  24. Sylvia

    May 13, 2010 at 10:15 am

We eat pizza regularly. More than once a week because we love pizza in our home. I work full time so I dont have time to make it at home. We order out from this place on N. High Street called PortoFino’s II. They have the best priced & best tasting NY Style pizza in my area. We can get a giant pizza with 49 slices for $21!! We always have leftovers for days when I order the Giant.
Anyway, when its pizza night in our home, we watch a movie or tv and talk about our day or upcoming events.

  25. chantel

    May 13, 2010 at 10:22 am

We usually make our own but I always have a few in the freezer for busy nights.

  26. Danielle T

    May 13, 2010 at 10:28 am

On pizza night we usually watch a movie or gow down to the beach and have a pizza picnic!

  27. Pam

    May 13, 2010 at 10:35 am

We make it pizza and a movie!

  28. Candace

    May 13, 2010 at 10:58 am

We always have pizza and movie night together.

  29. Julie

    May 13, 2010 at 11:00 am

We have pizza night every Friday and combine it with movie night as well. Because nothing goes better with pizza then new release dvds and spending time with family.

  30. Angela

    May 13, 2010 at 11:04 am

Fridays or Saturdays are pizza night for us. We usually get one of the $5 Little Caesar’s pizzas (can’t beat the price for a large pizza that feeds all of us) and watch something family-friendly with the kids on Netflix.
