20th Century Fox brings us DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: DOG DAYS opening in theaters this Friday, 8/3.  This film is rated PG. Get ready to go see the movie by creating your own Wimpy Kid character from the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid at Wimp Yourself!

During his summer vacation, “Wimpy Kid” Greg Heffley, the hero of the phenomenally successful book series, hatches a plan to pretend he has a job at a ritzy country club – which fails to keep him away from the season’s dog days, including embarrassing mishaps at a public pool and a camping trip that goes horribly wrong.

    I think it was in the first movie when Rodderick’s band was playing & the mom was dancing along & being really embarrassing to the boys—-just because I know I’ll embarrass my kids some day. But my boys still say Zoo-Wee momma. My 7yr old loves the books & is trying to write his own book just like Greg.

    My kids are big fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and movies. They got to meet the author and characters last year at a book signing. Their favorite books are Rodrick Rules and The Last Straw.

    I haven’t seen any of these but I wanted to see the movie last year but missed it… eer it’s bc I am prolly too cheap to go to the theater. The last thing I seen was Toy Story 3.

    In Rodrick Rules (the movie), I love the part when Rodrick is trying to convince his mom that there was never a lock on the bathroom door. lol!!

    Liked them both on Facebook. My two boys love these books when they checked them out from the school library. We are hoping to have some friends join us when we go watch the movie for their August birthdays.
