Win-It Wednesday: Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Prize Pack and $100 Babies ‘R’ Us Gift Card!

April 7, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

The following review is from the Deal Seeking Mom project administrator, Mandi Ehman:

With four little ones, we’ve had at least one (and often two) in diapers for the past five-and-a-half years. Although we thankfully haven’t dealt with diaper rash too often during that time, my two-year-old has “toddler diarrhea” (sounds fun, doesn’t it?), and we’ve definitely been dealing with it more often over the past six months than the rest of our tenure as parents.

I was excited to try Boudreaux’s Butt Paste this week, especially the new All Natural formulation.
The Boudreaux products rank fairly well on the Skin Deep cosmetic safety rating scale already, but the All Natural formulation goes even further, replacing the boric acid in the original formulation with beeswax, carnauba wax, hydrogenated castor oil and aloe vera.

The All Natural ointment and skin protectant rubs in clear, and I think it would also provide a wonderful layer of protection on my girls’ faces against the winter wind that usually leaves them chapped.

As for my two-year-old, she refers to the tube of Butt Paste as “my cream”, and insists I put it on with each diaper change. We haven’t had any more diaper rashes over the past couple of days, which is saying something with a little girl who refuses to tell us when she needs her diaper changed!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win (3) 2-oz. tubes of Boudreaux’s Original Butt Paste, (3) 2-oz. tubes of Boudreaux’s All Natural Butt Paste, (3) 2-oz. cans of Boudreaux’s Butt Protector Spray, and a $100 gift card to Babies ‘R’ Us (courtesy of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste)!

To enter, tell me which product(s) you use to soothe diaper rash on your little one.

I’ve always just used desitin, but I’d be happy to try something new. The spray sounds great! I also love that there’s an all-natural formulation.

OK. I first use cornstarch to dry her. Then add A&D ointment for light rashes. For bad rash, Aquaphor is pretty good. For horrible rash, not only red but a little bleeding (only from acidic foods), I use Triple Paste. Works great but very expensive.

I have heard only good things about Butt Paste and as a new grandmother I expect I will be needing some soon.

We haven’t had too much trouble with diaper rash with my 18 month old son. Creamy Desitin always clears up any redness in one diaper change. But I’ve found using A&D regularly keeps the redness away in the first place.

Desitin and A&D has worked for us. Like the A&D better because it is clear. But always looking out for natural alternatives that are also effective.

Currently, I’m using a product that I picked up in Germany when we lived there and it works great, but I can’t get it here so I”m in the market for a good product. I hope this is the one!

To soothe diaper rash on my little one, I use either Boudreaux’s All Natural Butt Paste or Aveeno’s Diaper rash cream.

I’ve been fortunate that we haven’t had much trouble with our little ones, but when they start to get even a little red on the bottom I used Aquaphor healing ointment by Eucerin. This little one may have more problems than the others did, but we won’t know yet, she is just starting solids.

I absolutely LOVE Boudreaux’s. My daughter, 2 1/2 asks for it by name when her bottom is hurting her. I began my adventures with Boudreaux’s when my third son, now 5, was a baby. He had severe diaper rash and would scream when I used Desitin on him. I would gently tell him that it was going to be okay and that this would make him better. It broke my heart. When visiting my parents I just couldn’t bare it and would ask my daddy to change him for me. Well, one day I had a bit of a raw hiney so I grabbed the Desitin for myself. I very QUICKLY rubbed it off!!! That stuff burns. No wonder my poor baby was screaming. I don’t blame him. I know that it would have eventually stopped burning but who wants to go through that when you are already in pain??? So I started trying other stuff. At first I used A&D ointment, but it just wasn’t what I wanted. So I finally tried the butte paste. We had always joked about the name but had never bought it due to the fact that it is a little more expensive than Desitin. Let me tell you it is worth EVERY PENNY. It did not burn a bit and has a sweet smell to it. And yes, I did test it on myself…lol. It took a bit of convincing my little man that this was NOT going to burn but during that first application when he was all tense, the minute the cream hit his bum he calmed down and trusted me. Took several changes before he wasn’t afraid at diaper changing time but he came to trust the butte paste! My daughter is the same way. She is still a bit apprehensive when her bottom hurts but she eases up once the cream is on. I will ALWAYS have Bourdreaux’s Butte Paste in my home, even when my little ones are all out of diapers!!!

Both Butt Paste and Pink Salve work wonders on my daughter and we will stay brand loyal for the next child as well!!

We have used Boudreaux’s Original Butt Paste on both of my sons. My oldest is now 7, but he had very sensitive skin and constant diaper rash. The Boudreaux’s Original Butt Paste worked wonders. I also have a 2 year old that we use it on and have since he started getting diaper rash at @ 5 months old. I definitely recommend it to any Mom saying her baby is having diaper rash problems.
