With four little ones, we’ve had at least one (and often two) in diapers for the past five-and-a-half years. Although we thankfully haven’t dealt with diaper rash too often during that time, my two-year-old has “toddler diarrhea” (sounds fun, doesn’t it?), and we’ve definitely been dealing with it more often over the past six months than the rest of our tenure as parents.

I was excited to try Boudreaux’s Butt Paste this week, especially the new All Natural formulation.
The Boudreaux products rank fairly well on the Skin Deep cosmetic safety rating scale already, but the All Natural formulation goes even further, replacing the boric acid in the original formulation with beeswax, carnauba wax, hydrogenated castor oil and aloe vera.

The All Natural ointment and skin protectant rubs in clear, and I think it would also provide a wonderful layer of protection on my girls’ faces against the winter wind that usually leaves them chapped.

As for my two-year-old, she refers to the tube of Butt Paste as “my cream”, and insists I put it on with each diaper change. We haven’t had any more diaper rashes over the past couple of days, which is saying something with a little girl who refuses to tell us when she needs her diaper changed!

    I have usually used Destin but I’ve seen more advertsing lately for Butt Paste and that will definitely be the next tub I buy. I also have used some cream from my grandmother which I have yet to really figure out what it is – but it works. :)

    The original butt paste worked best on my now almost 3 year old. Everything else seemed to just rub off.

    I haven’t tried this one, I usually have Desitin at home, but would certainly love to try it!!!

    I have used several, including Butt Paste. I am currently using Desitin, have used Vaseline and a store brand cream. I received the store brand for free and compared the ingredients to Butt Paste and they were EXACTLY the same for 1/4 the price!

    We use cream on our son every day, have since he was born and he has never had diaper rash. Knock on wood. :)

    I have used Desitin Creamy on both of my children and with very few diaper rash incidents we rarely have to use diaper rash cream anyway. I used to babysit a child that used butt paste and I do have to say that it worked well but I have never bought it to try on my kids.

    My daughter was always prone to yeast infections and Bordeux’s was actually what I used. It’s great!

    We used Vasoline with our first … but are expecting our second this summer, and would love to give this stuff a shot. I’ve heard nothing but great things!

    I use a zinc based cream. Once my kids starting sleeping thru the night, I’d put it on every night…and for long periods of sitting!
