Win-It Wednesday: Bobbie Brooks Jeans at Dollar General ($50 Gift Card)

September 1, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that you can now purchase Bobbie Brooks jeans at Dollar General for just $12? This is definitely a good option to stretch your clothing budget while maintaining a fashionable look.

Dollar General asked me to give these jeans a try so I could give you all an honest assessment of this new line. Unfortunately, the Bobbie Brooks 5-pocket jeans that I received don’t seem to run true to the sizing chart that I was sent. According to the measurements provided, I should wear a size 6, but they’re too tight in the waist, which is not usually my problem area. Also, they failed to advise me that they come in lengths, and I can tell that while the average length they sent fits me now, it’s not likely to fit after being washed.

Based upon a comparison of the appearance with the higher end jeans that I own, I’d have to say that you can definitely tell a difference when they’re side by side. My higher end jeans are made of a heavier fabric, and the details are a little more finished. However, I do think that the Bobbie Brooks jeans could pass for jeans at a slightly higher dollar amount than the $12 price tag, especially in the dark rinse. With a cute top and some nice accessories, you could absolutely create a stylish look that won’t break the bank.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win A $50 Dollar General Gift Card.

To enter, tell me what you love about Dollar General. Will you try Dollar General’s new Bobbie Brooks jeans for only $12?

I like Dollar General because they do sell clothing. I have bought children’s clothing there that was cute, inexpensive, and actually did hold up longer than expected. Thanks!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
