I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I look forward to each and every blog you put on facebook! Following your suggestions I have saved a LOT of money :) I am able to stay home and be with my kiddos… Thank you!
    When I look for garbage bags I look for price…. Of course I like the fact that there are brands out there that are flexible and that have odor block.. but if I can’t afford it, I can’t aford it! We usually get the huge box of garbage bags at Costco.. but I must say I LIKE having a drawstring! It makes it easier to take out.. at least that is what my husband says.. He is the “garbage take-er-out-ter” in our home :)

    I love the flexible trash bags but I have learned recently that drawstrings are the most important feature.

    I look for the biggest bag I can find. My garbage can is built into a cabinet and can fit a 39 gallon bag.
