I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I like trash bags that are tough enough to not rip when they are used. I also like the flaps that you can tie.

    I look for strong but unscented because I agree scented it too stinky, but I’m really excited to try these unscented with odor blockers!

    I look for a garbage bag that is thick and strong- I hate pulling out the kitchen trash and having the bag tear!

    I always look for drawstring bags….I have never been a fan of the ones that you have to try to tie together to get them to work.
