I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I like the flexible and the odor shield. It has to be strong and I hate ones that keep falling down in the can!

    I have to have one that will stay around the top of the trash can. I hate more then anything when it falls after I put something in there. I also need one that will not leak in the bottom of the trash can. GROSS!

    I look for strength ,durability. I am not brand loyal, I buy bags I have a coupon for or many times I buy a store brand. I have found that the Kroger brand works for us.

    I actually look for bags that will actually stay at the top of the can. Hefty bags seem to always to do that for me so, they are my go to bag. I have added them on Facebook and printed my coupon – Thanks for that information!
