I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    I accidentally bought the old fashioned kind of trashbags last time–the kind without the drawstrings. Drawstrings and nonbreaking are important. I have asthma and odors of any kind trigger it. An unscented odor control bag would be the best

    I agree with you in that I don’t like scented bags. Garbage smells bad enough w/o the synthetic fake flowery smell added into it. I usually go for unscented store brand, b/c that is cheapest.

    I only use the Hefty Gripper. Those are the only ones that don’t fall down as I throw stuff into the trashcan.

    I like the cheapest I can find ’cause they only get walked out to the garage and popped into the giant trash bin the city requires us to have.

    The brand sometimes because it can make the bag more durable – otherwise size, price, and how many are in the box.

    I really like the kind with the band around the top (the cinch sak), though my favorites are the Glad Force Flex (sorry Hefty!)….. I usually can’t get those for a good price though, so I don’t buy them very often.

    The most important thing to me is that the drawstring is strong, I can’t stand it when I pull it closed and it pops off! :)

    Mostly I look for garbage bags that are big enough to fit my trash can and aren’t so thin that they split very easily.

    I like the new trashbags that have a fresh scent! I also like it when my trash bags are tough and don’t rip when I’m trying to get my trash out!!
