I’ve never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I’m changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty’s new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I’ve noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I’d either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

    When I’m buying trash bags, I definitely look for strength (Who wants ripped bags and trash falling out on the way over to the trash bin) – also odor eliminating!

    I like the stretchy ones that expand as you take them out of the bag — we are definitely ones to keep shoving stuff in the can until we can’t possibly anymore. Regular bags rip as you pull them out when there are so many things in there. I also Do NOT like the scented ones. Makes me feel like I live in a dollare store.

    I prefer drawstring bags which are strong enough not to pop when they are full. I also don’t care for any scented bags except for vanilla scent. I will be trying the unscented odor block bags!
