We keep our change in an old jug. We usually only cash it in if we are going on vacation or really need some extra cash.

I do keep a change jar – We cash it in every year or so – We use it to help pay for family vacations. On a side note the last time I cashed in my change it paid for my wedding ($1,000) very quaint wedding including my dress but it was “free” none the less!

We have one that we put money into and then right before we leave for a trip, we cash it in. We use the $$ for our road trip goodies and can usually fill up once with what is leftover. We are planning a trip to Phoenix over Spring Break, so we are collecting change for that trip!

I keep a coin jar, but I don’t count it. I just take it with me every time I shop at Walgreens and just pay with change since my totals are so low.

We actually have 3 coin jars… 1 for pennies, 1 for dimes & nickels, and 1 for quarters. Sadly, my husband raids the quarter jar (for the vending machine at work) more often than I’d like, but we generally cash them in about twice a year! :)

We keep our silver change in a Christmas. When I found out I was pregnant with our daughter we started saving our pennies for her. Her grandma gives her pennies also. Amazing how they add up!!!
