Our family recently added a 4GB X2S Eye-Fi SDHC memory card to our digital storage lineup. What’s the big deal? Eye-Fi cards have a tiny wireless adapter built into them which allows you to download pictures to your home Wi-Fi network. That’s right. You never have to take the card out of the camera. No more using separate card readers, losing your card or searching for the proprietary USB cord that came with the camera.

Setup was easy: I just plugged in the USB adapter that was included and followed the prompts. It quickly discovered my home network and even jumped through my security hoops flawlessly. You do need to have your camera nearby to send a test photo to complete the setup, and from then on, it works without wires. Now I can transfer my latest pictures and video to my network without the fear of one of the kids running off with the card while it’s on the desk or having it get lost under a pile of papers, and my photos are automatically organized into photos according to the date they’re taken.

    remember that commercial with the kid freeze framed jumping from the diving board into the pool cause his mom hadn’t gotten his picture off the camera yet? well, imagine that scenario with two kids and two cameras….ack, help!

    I would love this! I try to cut corners everywhere to have the most time I can with my four kids. I love taking pictures of them. This would improve both of those things;)

    I need to win this, because when I am travelling I am always forgetting the cable or the card reader and then cant download the pictures- and it infuriates me- which causes great stress– and I am SURE you dont want me to stress out- so this card is a big solution!!!

    I offer to take beach photos for all my friends for free, just so they have wonderful family pictures to look back on and this would be great to have them on the computer faster and easier for the editing.

    This would come in so handy for me and my daughter. We take a lot of pics and it is easy to lose the SD card when you have to take it in and out of the camera so frequently.

    i take at least 10 pics a day. I have a 3 yr old girl and a 14 mo old boy. There is allways a “moment” for me to take a pic of the kids. About 6 months ago i lost my little travel camera with the pics from my son’s 3 mo old through 8 months old pictures. I never had time to download them onto the computer and i was devastated!! I would love a memory card like this ! Talk about perfect!!! And i would tell all of my mom’s group friends about it too !!!!!

    I would SO love to win one of these! I do childcare and take a TON of photos throughout the day to email to parents…but I am constantly taking the card in and out and downloading to do so.

    My friend has on of these and I’m jealous. I see how easy it is for her. I just signed up for photo class, this would be wonderful to have for all the photos I’ll be practicing my new skills on. I’m already a DSM Facebook Fan.
