Our family recently added a 4GB X2S Eye-Fi SDHC memory card to our digital storage lineup. What’s the big deal? Eye-Fi cards have a tiny wireless adapter built into them which allows you to download pictures to your home Wi-Fi network. That’s right. You never have to take the card out of the camera. No more using separate card readers, losing your card or searching for the proprietary USB cord that came with the camera.

Setup was easy: I just plugged in the USB adapter that was included and followed the prompts. It quickly discovered my home network and even jumped through my security hoops flawlessly. You do need to have your camera nearby to send a test photo to complete the setup, and from then on, it works without wires. Now I can transfer my latest pictures and video to my network without the fear of one of the kids running off with the card while it’s on the desk or having it get lost under a pile of papers, and my photos are automatically organized into photos according to the date they’re taken.

    I’d give this to my brother who is a wildlife photographer. I was a digital imaging and printing sales trainer for years and this is the one thing that would make his (and my) life easier. He’s a bit of a Luddite. :)

I am a scrapbooker so I need to catch every moment I can. =) I would love to be able to have a wi-fi card so I can upload photos to my wireless network without taking the card out of the camera! This is totally awesome! And here I thought my card reader was the fast easy way! If I don’t win I’m going to tell my husband to buy me one lol.

    My husband has been asking for one for a while and what a great gift it would be to give him as he is due back from deployment in a few months. Since he has been away I take even more pictures of our 3 kids so he doesn’t miss a thing. I also love that its wireless and its such a butt when I am ready to sit down and realize the camera is nowhere to be found along w/ the sd card inside the camera.

    I would love to win an sd card so I can take more pics of my 3 babies and then easily transfer them to my computer. Faster transfer means more time with my kids.

    I “like” both on FB. I would also love this for the new camera I intend to purchase prior to my Son’s 1st bday in 2 months. Right now I just take hundreds of pics on my cell phone and upload them to FB all the time. I cherish every single photos I have of him and my dog, Jameson.

    I would love one because I take tons of pictures of my kids and never have the time to find the cords to download them to our external hard drive. I love my Nikon camera and this would make life so much easier for a mommy of 4 :)

    I would love a Eye-Fi Card because I have a son and we are constantly taking pictures. We have so many of the SD Cards. This would be a great idea so that I can immediately add to any computer we have!

    I would LOVE a wireless SD card because we got my daughter her first digital camera for Christmas and we can never seem to find the right time for her to sit down, plug the card in, wait for the download, and put everything away. If we had a Wifi card, she could just upload as soon as we get home without having to get on the computer. It would be wonderful!!

    I need this for quick downloading of pics I take!! (When we came home from our son’s graduation from Marine boot-camp, it took extra time to get all our pics on the computer. It’s hard to find extra time when you have 3 kiddos running around needing you NOW!!)

    considering I have an older so-so camera, this would make the transfer process much less of a pain, it has come down to avoiding the manufacturer’s interface (kodak easy share) and doing it myself, still a pain and then its the micro usb, but not the same as my mp3 player, which puts me in cable hell.
