I think really cute things can be made for teachers that doesn’t cost much. I saw a Christmas gift idea on the internet of filling a whisk with hershey’s kisses and putting “I whisk you a Merry Kissmas!” tag on it. You can buy the whisk at a Dollar Store and kisses don’t cost much.

I love to put together gift baskets because I think they are such a fun gift… these can cost next to nothing by adding samples you receive throughout the year as well as free items you’ve picked up in the stores throughout the year… Of course.. you never want to forget a little chocolate to make the gift basket extra special.

I like for my daughter to make her teacher an ornament. This year I’m also gonna put together a “recipe book” for all of my homemade cleaners with a small bottle of Dr. Bronners Castile soap.

I have my kids make their own gifts. These can include things such as decorating a card, picture frame or even a basket (the basket could be filled with the deals of the year). One of my boys decided to decorate a T-shirt with a picture of the clas on the back and one with the two of them on the front then he wrote messages or words that described her ALL over it! I still see her wearing it 10 years later!! I think if it’s the child’s idea and work it makes it more special.

We sell pasta in fun shapes as a swim team fundraiser each year. They come in the shape of college logos, music notes, cats dogs, basketballs, all kinds of things. I buy the fundraiser pasta for teh teachers based on their interest. It’s something they can actually use, that isn’t another knick nack to sit on their desks!

One of the best, inexpensive gifts I have received as a teacher are picture frames. You can never have enough of them!

I like to bake Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls, and tie them up with a pretty bow and a card… and send them to school still warm from the oven.
