I just love my husbands cornbread dressing, I look forward to it starting in Sept. Then I eat as much as I can until Christmas, then I have to wait for Thanksgiving again for more.

Broccoli Cheese Rice Casserole! My mother used to make this for me every year. I ate almost the entire thing. When I start hosting Thanksgiving dinners here at my house, I will definitely add this dish to the list!

My husband’s mother always made homemade noodles which would be served over mashed potatoes. She has been gone for 15 years, but we still carry that tradition.

I would have to say Thanksgiving is one of my fav holidays. I like to reflect on the years events and what I could be thankful for. This year is an extra special one.. I am thankful for my father to be alive after several massive heart attacks that caused him to flatline and leave us 3 times. He has damage to his brain but I am thankful he is here to see my children grow.
My fav food is green bean cassarole. I dont know why but it is not often made mainly during holidays.

I have also subscribed to RSS

We have many traditional dishes that we make only for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Two that come to mind are the Cranberry Salad and our Green Bean Casserole. And trust me they don’t contain any gelatin or cream of mushroom soup. YUM!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
