Who Wants to Win a Flip Digital Video Camera?

August 29, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out my first-ever vlog attempt on frugal baby and toddler feeding, so you’ve seen the Flip in action! The quality of the video far exceeded my expectations, and it is SO simple to use.

I was really kind of nervous about doing a video. “You, uh, want me to do what? Put myself on display in a series of videos in front of all my readers? Um . . . okay.” But I had a great time learning how to use my Flip and playing around with Windows Movie Maker. Now that I’ve got one done and relaxed a little, I’m really looking forward to my next vlog!

So how would you like to have one of these fabulous little gadgets for your very own? Courtesy of Walmart and Pure Digital, I have one Flip Digital Video Camera in my hot little hands for one lucky reader to win! You could even use it to win a year’s worth of groceries by submitting your best money-saving tips on video to the Walmart channel on YouTube. I would be SO thrilled if one of my readers won the groceries!!!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose any combination of one, two, or three, for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment telling me the best money-saving method or tip that you’ve actually used recently. Make sure that I have some way to get in touch with you if you are the winner. (Either leave your email address in your comment or make sure I can access it from your profile.) Don’t worry, I won’t harvest your email addresses or use them for any purpose other than notifying you if you win.

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winners easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Prize:
(1) Flip Video F260 Ultra 60-Minute Digital Camcorder, ARV $125

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 7th. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment and post the winner on Monday, September 8th. Good luck!

I use a local CSA for buying organic vegetables. For about $7, I can buy all our family’s vegies for the week, and they are grown locally. Also, today I went to Walgreen’s and Target to get some deals thanks to the money-saving blogs I read.

Recently, we bought great bunk beds (after months of searching) really cheap on Craig’s List and have a local place that will strip and repaint for a good cost. Now we are going to resell them for 3 times what we paid for them, and they look the price too!
The trick is shopping not in a hurry, low-cost turn-around, and picking an item that is in high demand.

We have soooo many birthdays, weddings, etc. in the summer, I started making my own cards. Just buy some cheap cardstock at Wal-Mart or any office supply store and go online to find lots of free cards to print (I use americangreetings.com – be sure to check each one out, some are free, some are not.) Thanks for the great giveaway.

Oh….this could be a very fun toy to have!! :) I have two little ones that are always doing something funny.
As for money saving tips…we eat a lot of citrus and my oldest loves to save the rinds for the garbage disposal. No need to buy any disposal cleaner when all you have to do is grind up some rind! She likes it when the kitchen smells “orangey” (her word). :)

I’m new to all of this but I’ve started using coupons and shopping only once a week. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I’ve saved. I can see why this can be addictive!

The most recent money saving tip I used: I watch the sale ads for the local grocery stores for the items that we use regularly. Then when they are on sale, we stock up at the sale price.

Best money saving tip: buying clothes when they are at rock bottom – end of July-1st of Aug and again end of Jan-1st of Feb. I save them for the following year & if they grow too much, I can make a few bucks selling them as a NEW WITH TAGS LOT on ebay when they are in season again.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
