When Is a Deal a Deal for Me?

March 2, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 7 Comments

simple momI had the great privilege of guest posting for Tsh over at Simple Mom today on the questions that I ask myself when deciding whether or not to take advantage of a deal.

After all, I post a lot of deals here on Deal Seeking Mom. You didn’t really think I have the time and resources to take advantage of all of them, did you?

I hope you’ll take a minute to mosey on over to Simple Mom’s wonderful blog to read about my thought process. Please share your take on the topic too!

    Tara,
I found your blog through your post on SimpleMom this morning. I thought it was a great article on what makes a truly good deal – something I think everyone can benefit from.

Great site – I’ll be back!

I saw the post on Simple Mom this morning and thought it was great. It also makes me feel better and less stressed about taking advantage of every single offer – I like that you just do what works for you :)

I agree! I don’t have near the time to do all the deals! I just do the ones that are revelant to me! I’m all about quality too! :)

Thanks Tara! This very idea was on my mind this morning – there is a lot of risk in being a deal chaser if you don’t think about what you’re doing! I wrote about three questions I ask myself and it keeps the impulse shopping in check!

    Keep up the great work!

Now that I’m stockpiled I hardly ever buy ANYTHING but milk and fruit it seems. I find it hard to blog about a deal if I haven’t actually bought the dang thing myself! I have to get over that, or I’ll have no blog content!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
