Walmart: Curious George and How the Grinch Stole Christmas DVDs $2

December 15, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 50 Comments

Curious George A Very Monkey Christmas $2
Walmart has Curious George “A Very Monkey Christmas” and How The Grinch Stole Christmas on sale for $5 this week. Use these $3 off DVDs coupons to get these for $2 each!

Update: Many people are reporting that these are priced at $13 in their stores so YMMV. My RedPlum link seems to be having some issues, so if you don’t see the the coupons listed there, check RedPlum.com directly to print them.

Note that the How the Grinch Stole Christmas is the Jim Carrey version, not the animated classic, and may not be suitable for very young children.

Thanks, Keeping The Kingdom First!

This coupon was in my local paper last week. However, when I tried to get this movie a few weeks back, it was $19. From the posts, it looks like it did go down some in NE Ohio, so I still think I may get this for my two year old who adores George.

Just to let you all know too- the Curious George movie has a free voucher in it for Curious George Live. It is not good on “premium seating” (ie, floor), but a pretty good deal if your kiddo loves George!

We live in Lancaster Ohio, just south of Columbus. Spoke with the manager and she told us that Walmart has different prices acording to where the store is located; such as the poorer the area the cheaper the merchandise. My daughter pulled up the sight on her phone and they would not honor the price. Good luck finding a store that will sell at that price.

We live in San Diego…I went to the La Mesa/Grossmont store last night, and they are $13 as well. Online they are $13 too (the Walmart employee said sometimes prices are lower online, and checked in their system – and nope, still $13 online). BUMMER!

I went to one of my walmart yesterday (augusta,ga) and they were $13. The Madagascar Christmas DVD was $5, marked dwon from $13. As Donna said in post #39, stores do have different prices. We have 5 walmarts in my driving distance that I can think of off the top of my head, and they always have differant prices for same things. One of them marks seasonal things down 75% the day after the holiday, while the others may have them down 50% for 2 weeks before going 75% off. I got a broom at one walmart once for $6 and the walmart 13 miles away they had the same one for $9. Even the candy at the register is a few cents differance sometimes.

I found Curious George for $9.99 at Kroger. Not as good as the $5 price but it’s still better than $13!
