I found the 49 cent cards in the 99 cent section, bottom 2 rows. Also, there is a coupon in the WAGS flyer which will take off 44 cents on each card that is $1.50 or more. Makes those cards another option without it costing too much more than the 99 cent ones.

I’m not seeing how the math on the $0.99 cent cards works out to be an overage. 8X $0.99 = $7.92 OOP which is still $2.92 after the $5 RR

      She multiplied .99 x5 instead of x8.

You are right. I messed up the math and did multiply by 5 instead of 8. However, if you buy the $0.99 cards it would then cost $0.37 for each card. Still a great deal for Hallmark cards.

I have visited 3 different Wags and haven’t been able to find any of the.49 cent cards. Are they available at all stores?

.49 very few of the walgreens actually carry the .49 cards. Some stores have a .99 section but most stores have the cards mixed in with all the others…I found some cute .89 cards (smaller) that also worked for the deal.

Great Deal on the .99 cards. I stocked up and bought 8 today. My store in Detroit Metro area had a whole section of Hallmark .99 cards. Thanks! Can’t beat .37 each for a Hallmark card!

ok i found the .49 cent cards and believe me they are not worth paying $3.92 oop (plus tax) so for all you who feel bummed about not finding them, don’t. these $.49 cent cards are really not nice looking, i don’t even see any occassion to use them. Now the .99 cent ones are a good deal even if you are paying allittle more OOP, i mean after all is said and done you get 8 cards for less than $3.00 (before taxes) so that to me is a fab deal. if you scour all the card sections you can find .99 cent cards for every occasion. I found birthday cards for 4 kids (3boys, 1 girl) found an anniversary card for hubby, a kindergarten grad card for my little one, mother’s day card (really nice one too) for grandma (in spanish!!) and a birthday card for my sister. Pretty good huh? so I am almost pretty much set for the rest of the year, except for the fancier card I always get for my mum and Hubby’s Bday. I am a big fan of getting something for free, but if you have to pay OOP to get it and they are really not something you would give, dont waste your time and just go for what you will use/give…I may even go back for more : ) Thanks DSM for the info : )

Norma, it may not be a good deal if you are actually paying anything OOP for the .49 cent cards. However, if you are using RR to pay for them then it’s a good MM. :-)
