I am confused about the Tylenol deal. How does it go down to .49? I have never done Walgreens before, but I come up with $1.49 each.

Jen, for the Tylenol deal you can use both the manufacturer coupon and the Walgreens coupon. The Walgreens coupon will automatically multiply times the number of items you buy.

Erika, the Carefree deal is a monthly deal, so it’s not in the ad. There will probably be a tag in the store, but even if not, it should print.

i love my walgreens when they are slow… i went in this afternoon to grab a few items that i wanted this being the last day off the ad and i got extremely lucky… they were slow as can be and they had already priced their sally hansen products… so i was just going to grab a couple of new bottles of polish and low and behold the $5 kept rolling… i got 3 bottles of one type of polish for only .86 with tax and a different 3 types of polish for only .55 with tax… and the girl behind the counter told me take my time and go help myself to as much nail polish as i wanted to buy … so i did… it was awesome and i still have a $5 sally hansen coupon to start with again tomorrow when it officially goes on sale .. i am going to have some pretty nails lol

couple things I am confused on here:
one is the sally hansen. the coupon matchups would require you to be buying 4, not 3 yes?
and the aussie, that is 99 cents each correct?

ahhhh why is walgreens so tempting this week!?! UGH.

    Great job, Erika!

Sati, I’m just listing various coupons available to work the Sally Hansen deal. You can buy just 3 as outlined. The Aussie should say $0.99 ea., so I’ll fix that.

Uggh… Walgreens totally hates coupon users. I wasn’t allowed to do multiple transactions so I just left it be with buying 3 Sally Hansen polishes with 3 of the $1/1 coupons combined with a RR I had. (Cashier wouldn’t let the people ahead of me do multiple transactions either)

Important note: my cashier called over the mgr when she saw the RR and was saying that RR can’t be used on sale items because it makes it “too cheap”… mgr voided and re-did the transaction and said it was perfectly fine so I ended up with the $5 off for next Sally Hansen purch and paying 81 cents for 3 polishes. *eyeroll* So watch out for cashiers who think coupons are highway robbery.

I’m lucky the cosmetics lady that I swear to god lives at Walgreens is who I always go to for my transactions. She actually enjoys watching how much I get back and how much I spend. The other one however who is always there is nasty and mean to me. She tries talking me out of using my coupons and tries convincing me (not like oh this is on sale today) for the products they get like 5 cents for each they sell. Today I bough glade candles on clarence and she was actually upset I wouldnt buy the 2 oz. ones instead. That being said a $1 RR still printed for the Glade Candles….

Katie, you buy two Aussie products at $2.99. You use the $2/2 coupon making your total $3.98. You’ll receive $2 in RRs back, so your final total would be $1.98 or $0.99 each.

You may only earn RRs once per deal per transaction at Walgreens, so that’s why you’re not earning $4 in RRs.

I noticed in the my online ad that Samy Hair Products are Buy 1, Get 1 Free. I have seen at some Walgreens, Try Me Free Rebates on e-sen-cia (it’s in a brown bottle). I would never pay $7.99 for a bottle of shampoo, but I figured since I get my money back, I would try it. I just saw a couple last week still, so after the Mail-In-Rebate, it would be like getting two for Free. Lately, if I can’t seem to find a use for my RRs that I prefer, I look for some of those tags, why not try something new…

Question on the .pdf coupons, like the thermacare – can I print out more than one (my printer que pops up, and I can select as many prints as I want) or is there a similar issue with there being only one code, so if you print, the manufacturer only reimburses one for each number? (Like the other coupons where there are print limits, where each print has it’s own unique number)?
Does this make sense? I just want to make sure I can go back multiple times on the thermacare deal, TIA~!

I just tried to buy the BIC soleil razor using a $3 coupon and my $1 RR didn’t print. When I asked about it I was told by 2 cashiers and a manager that you can’t use a coupon to get RRs because “its already on sale” and since the register didn’t print it, there was nothing they could do. I returned it and was told they couldn’t give me the coupon back, so they gave me cash! Is there a specifc corporate policy that I can have with me to prove that I can use a coupon for a sale item? And were they really supposed to give me cash back?
    Thanks!

Beth Anne, you’re the second person that’s contacted me with this issue this week (different items though). As far as I know the stores can’t set their own policies, but it seems odd that it’s not an isolated event.

If any of you that experience this could please write to or call customer service and report back on what you find out, I’m sure it would be helpful for everyone.

I think they were correct in giving you the full amount back. That’s what generally happens when you do a return at a later date.

I had this problem a while ago when I was doing a Huggies deal. Their RR machine was broken so I asked for the manager to manually get me an RR that I should have received. She tried to tell me that you can’t use coupons and get an RR at the same time. THIS IS NOT TRUE!

I called customer service and they told me that this manager was wrong. They had the store manager, where I had this problem, call me and talk to me about the issue. Again he told me that the manager that had told me this was wrong. He promised me that it wouldn’t happen again.

So, if this happens to you I’d do a few things.

    1. Did you buy the right item. There have been a few time when I have grabbed the wrong product so always double check the size, count, etc.

    2. Did you use a register reward from the same RR deal you are trying to complete ? This can be easy to get mixed up sometimes. For example, the Medicine RR Deal this week has several different products to purchase but all of them are from the same deal so you can’t roll RR between these products.

    3. Is the RR machine broken? This has happened to me several times, so always ask. You have the right to those RR’s!

    4. Ask for the Store Manager. If you said no to all of the above I would ask for the store manager. I am lucky to have a great store manager who seems to have all the answers! Hopefully they can help you.

    5. Call Walgreens Corporate Customer Service. If the manager insists you can’t use coupons and still receive a Register Reward you need to call Corporate and report this as it is not right. Here is the number 1-800-925-4733.

    Hope this helps!

If you have the K-Mart Coupon Booklet (with up to $62 savings), there is a Sally Hansen $1 off manufacturer’s coupon in the booklet that can be used at Walgreens, I tried mine yesterday and it worked. (They had more booklets out on Monday when I went to K-mart, so I had to snag a couple more).
