my new caregivers marketplace form doesn’t have the regular pull ups on the list. just the swimmers and regular diapers. Make sure you all check your forms.

is it just me or has it been bad the past few weeks at walgreens? wondering if they will ever do some more freebies again.

Amiyrah, they’re still there. They’re just under their own Pull-Ups heading under brands instead of with Huggies.

Angie — Yes I agree with you, the Walgreens ads have been the pits lately and of course I have about $30.00 in register rewards that are set to expire in the next day or two and I can’t find anything to use them on. Looks like my kids will be getting a bunch of the $1/2 candy bars that are in the ad!

jan, my walgreens have never given me an issue using expired rr’s in the past. i used one the other day that was about 3 weeks expired and i think all i have at this point are expired. figure if they ever do refuse, i will just drive 5 miles down the road and go to another one. the expired ones do not beep and the cashiers around here just don’t look at the expiration date.

They are in the process of making things better. Too many people were taking advantage of rr (buying, returning and keeping rr). They are making a better way to track returns and should be bringing the rebates back. It’s all in the works.

Liz, I sure hope you are right about them bringing back the rebates, although I don’t like the Catalina ones…that is a stamp for every rebate we do…on line is free. My Walgreens is a very good store and I got to know everyone there. They will not take expired RRs. Two weeks ago, I realized I had something like $8.00 that had expired by 1 or 2 days…they would not take them…so, I had the items with me that generated the RRs and I just returned them, and I gave them the expired RRs back…they weren’t of any use to me.
Angie, you are very lucky that your store will take expired RRs. I’m not crazy about the RRs, especially since they only give you 2 weeks to use them…I don’t think that’s fair…not to mention the item to coupon ratio…it’s gets too confusing for me.
Jan, I know it states on the RRs that you can’t use them on gift cards, but I used them on the “red” Walgreens gift card…I don’t know for sure if it will work at your Walgreens, but it’s worth a try.
The card has to be $10.00 or more, and you do need to remember the item to coupon ratio…so, let’s just say you have 3 $10.00 RRs…you could get 3 gift cards. You couldn’t get 1 gift card and use 3 or 4 RRs unless you at 2 or 3 fillers. If you try it, I hope it works for you.

fyi, i just saw Kraft mac & cheese on rollback at Walmart for 50 cents a box. That’s a great “stockpile” price! ;)

Thanks for all the info on the RR. Angie- none of my Walgreens here in St. Louis will take expired RR, in fact they now do some special thing where they circle the date, initial it and date the day it was used, some “new” policy after a big fraud scam was uncovered where some employees would hand the RR back to people to be re-used. I truly hope they go back to the rebate system as I hate these RR and keeping up with them and all the different ways different Walgreens stores let you use them.

I don’t know about the store that you purchase your items from but I know in my store that taking an expired RR is grounds for a write up. Three strikes you’re out. Sometimes if the manager hasn’t sent their coupons in (which they send stacks at a time) and it’s within the dates they were sending in, they can sometimes sneak them in, but this can also get them written up. Please keep in mind, it’s not the stores fault if they can’t take the expired RR.

My new Caregiver’s rebate form has the UPC codes for the qualifying diapers, but when I looked at Walgreens at Walmart, none of the UPC codes matched the description on the rebate form. Maybe it has something to do with Huggies renaming a couple lines of diapers. Has anybody else experienced this and/or figured it out?

I think this is a good deal – our Wags had the Colgate Total 0n sale for $2.99 with $1 RR and Colgate 360 toothbrushes 0n sale for $2.99 with $1 RR. There is also a $3 off printable (can’t quite remember which site) when you buy both the toothpaste and toothbrush. SO $2.99 for the paste + $2.99 for the brush – $3Q – $1RR = $1.98 for them both!
