How do you make the Kleenex deal work? The coupon is 50 cents on 3, but the Wags coupon in my area has a limit of 2.

    DW´s last blog post..Quick, need a photo?

Oh, I think you’re right, DW. I couldn’t read the fine print on the ad, but I just got my local ad and it does say limit 2, so it looks like a no go. I’ll cross it off. Thanks!

Our Walgreen’s closes at midnight and i’m not sure what time they open–but just called them and they have already sold out of hairdryers and it is only 8:30am!!! The next town over has also already sold out….:( And that was one I really NEEDED since mine bit the dust a couple weeks ago and I’ve just been waiting for a great deal!!
    UGH!
    Anyway–thank you for the posts!!

I arrived at Walgreens at 8:10 and purchased the last blowdryer. I almost didn’t brave the cold weather. What motivated me was the great gift it is going to be for a friend of mine who needs one. I am so excited to give it to her!

When I went to Walgreens this morning they also had the smaller boxes of Stovers chocolate that qualify for the rebate. I think the total of the chocolate came to alittle more than $10. Had I remembered to take my coupon it would have been $1 less. Oh well! I have looked at two different Walgreens stores for the small boxes for the past week and they hadn’t had them. Happy surprise today. This is my second week of using coupons and shopping Walgreens and I am hooked. I am so excited about the money I am going to save this next year and years to come.

I went to my Walgreens at 7am, and there were no hair dryers or turtles. They opened at 6am. Good grief! I guess there were others willing to get up even earlier than I did.

People didn’t beat you to it, Walgreens never has the stuff to begain with. I have gone sunday morning, waited outside for them to unlock the door, gone it and they are “sold out”. It is very irrating. Rite Aid is much better at stocking the sale items.

If we had a Rite-Aid, I’d happily shop there! We have WalMart, Aldi’s, PriceCutter, and Walgreen’s. The next town over has Target and Dillons, among a few others, but not Kroger, KMart, Meijer, or Rite-Aid. I’d need to travel over an hour to get to one of those.
I trust my Walgreen’s cashiers,a nd when I called at 8:30 asking if they had any hair dryers, I believed her when she said she just sold the last one 10 min. ago. They may have only had 5, but they did have some…

Ii was pretty surprised that they had two other dryers today but they had been held behind the register for someone! I didn’t know that they would do that.

This is what I did today!!!!! SO EXCITING!!
Transaction 1—Gilette Fusion Power razor $9.99, Gilette shower wash $4.49, candy $1, chex mix $.99
Coupons–$4 off razor, $2 off shower wash, $.50 off chex mix, AND the KICKER–Buy razor, get shower gel free, so minus $4.49 ALSO (this is partly why I got the candy–can’t have more coupons than products)
paid $5.77 and got $4 RR

Transaction 2—4 packs Pepsi products 12-pack cans for $12, I opted out of using the Pepsi One $1 coupons, but used my $4 RR and paid $8.53 and received $3 RR

I then went to Aldi’s and came back to pick up the one-hour pictures.
Transaction 3—Gilette Fusion Power $9.99, Walgreen Pocket Tissue $.29
coupons—$4 off razor, $3 RR (thus the need for the tissue–2 manufacture coupons need 2 products)
Added $.03 to my prescription card and paid $3.52, receiving $4 RR

Transaction 4—51 photos with 2 CDs $7.08, minus $4 RR, adding $.71 to my prescription card
    Paid $3.31

So, total paid off my lastmonth’s rebate gift card (not even really OOP expenses) was $21.13, $.74 added to prescription card, making it $20.39 for 2 $10 razors, a $4 body wash, $2 chex mix, $1 candy, 48 cans soda, $.29 pocket tissue, 51 photos, and 2 picture CDs, plus not too much of a big deal to keep it all straight!!

As a Walgreens employee I’d like to say that sometimes the ad actually activates on Saturday and people will actually come in and make their purchases the day BEFORE the ad breaks. Just a heads up for Monica!!

To add to my first entry, we try to have all sale items in stock when the ad breaks but sometimes deals run two or three weeks, i.e, the Turtles deal for 99 cents. I hope shoppers like Monica would reconsider their patronage to Walgreens as I feel our customer service levels and deals are much better. Thanks!!

Excellent point! I’ve noticed that the deals for the next week are often active if I go late on a Saturday at my Walgreens too.
