Some of the Wallgreens around here are saying that the “misprint” is that the back of the coup, that sais $1 off is for the 64-72 count tubs, and that the front, with the picture and the $2 off is for the refills only.

The Wallgreens that don’t have this “misprint” tag up all seem to be out of the wipes period.

Even with the .50 cent off coup from the paper this week and the $1 off the 64 cent wipes, they’re exactly the same price as the ones at Sam’s Club.

If the coupon was meant to be $1 off instead of $2 off, then it would actually scan at $1 off! But, this isn’t the case. I’ve used this coupon multiple times and had $2 taken off every time.

Juliana – Just curious, how much are the wipes at Sam’s Club? I’m considering a membership but have no idea whether or not the cost would be worth it.

Our Walgreens had them for $3.29- still a good deal, but I was hoping to get them for less than a dollar. I’m going to check a few more and see if there are any price differences.

oops. so sorry about that. my baby hit the keys as i was typing…
so i went to two walgreens and one was priced at 3.99…so i did not buy them, then i went to another and they were for 2. 79. so i bought them, but dont forget that when using coupons at walgreens you can only use as many coupons as you have items. i bought 4 wipes and two sharpie pens and only two of my .50/1 huggie coupons worked. later i realized it was because, even though i only gave her one of the $2/1 , it rings up as 4. so total $8 off total of six items and only 6 coups worked.

anyway, i know i made it sound way to confusing, but i still paid a lil over 4 bucks. one dollar a tub is not bad, plus sharpie markers.

My Walgreens also didn’t want to let me buy more than one box of wipes since the coupon says “limit one coupon per customer per offer”. I volunteered to even do separate transactions for each box . The manger finally let me have two boxes. I was waiting for a prescription so I later bought one more box at a different register. I don’t understand why all the Walgreens have such different policies.

The Huggies “Natural Care” wipes are $15.22 at my local sam’s for 720 wipes, which is 2.1 cents per wipe. The Huggies “Soft Skin” wipes are $14.88 for 600 which is 2.4 cents per wipe.

If you go to Samsclub.com you can type in your local zip code and check prices for your area’s sam’s club, since the prices could vary by region.

Juliana – thanks for the tip! I am heading over to samsclub.com after this post to check prices. :)

Lisa – the one box per customer policy makes no sense considering the fact that the coupon automatically doubles or triples, etc., depending on how many boxes you buy! I actually bought 4 boxes last week, used one coupon, and got $8 off. The lack of consistency within Walgreens is so frustrating, you’d think they were a franchise! Or are they? Honestly, I’ve never thought about it before.

I went to my local Walgreens to pick up some of these coupons, and they were out :( I also went to pick up some Listerine because they had it on sale $3 each, and I had a coupon for save $3/3 and they had RR’s if you bought 3, you got $6 RR’s!! But unfortunately they were out of the listerine. They gave me raincheck, but said they couldn’t offer me the RR’s after the date. What a bummer!!! Hopefully better luck next time =)

~*Thanks for ALL the helpful tips though, you do an amazing job!*~

Went to my local Walgreens yesterday and it rang up as listed on coupon $1 off each box.

Looks like the glitch has been fixed where I live.

Had to put back all of the boxes since it was only $1 off each box.

Did you question them on why they didn’t give you the $2 off like the front of the coupon promises?

vanessa, here in the dallas area, they still have the same coupon books out. the first store i went to yesterday had a white label covering the $2 on the one side. i picked up one tub just to test it, used one of my original $2 coupons that i got when it first started and it rang up only $1 off. they said it was a mistake and i could only have the $1 off. i had them take it off my order. i assumed the deal was dead but the next store i went to, all was normal. books looked the same. they even had $2 off signs right under the small tubs. so i brought several of those to the register and the coupon did take off $2 per tub. so i guess they are able to change the way the coupon reads on the store level but it is not changed in the complete walgreens system. you might try another store if you have one around.

Bought 9 boxes of wipes today for a total of $25.11. After my 9 .50/1 man. q’s (took off $4.50) and the one $2.00 off WAGS q (took off $18) I paid $2.61 without tax. And since it was an order over $25 before q’s I received a $5 RR. 9 boxes of FREE WIPES!!! I have enough q’s to do it again, but there weren’t any wipes left after I finished. By the way, my WAGS had a photocopy of the coupon hanging on the price tag of the boxes of the $2.79 wipes.

My walgreens has the wipes they are 3.79 per package here. It’s still a good deal but nut as good as .79 it’s 1.79 wish I lived were it’s like 20 per tub with coupon. In my state the add is up for spend 25 get 5 buy it will not print. They told me at the store they did not know what I was talking about. So that is not good.

I found a couple of Walgreens in my area (SW Ohio) still honoring the $2 off, and with the 2.99 price. The only “bad” thing is that other deal seekers found them too. Could only get a couple from each. Better than nothing though.
For those in SW Ohio, it was the WG in Franklin and the one in Middletown

All of the Walgeens around here are sold out. I wonder why lol. They gave me a raincheck for them though. So that I can go back after the sale and still get the same price.

I went to my 4 different walgreens and they were all 3.99 a piece! UGH! Not good. I purchased one used the $2 off coupon and .50 one i had earlier. This does not seem as a great deal. I always throw away all my huggies coupons that I get in the mail. Next time I will save them.

At the Walgreens near me, the manager tore out all the Huggies coupons out of their flyers. When I asked about it, I was told that it was a misprint and that it was only supposed to be used on the refills not the tubs. I may check another Walgreens, but I was disappointed. :(

Has anyone written Walgreens customer service to find out the scoop on the Huggies coupon? Was it meant to be used on the refills only and not the tubs? Was it originally intended to be $1 or $2? Have they implemented a store-level fix for whatever mistake was made, or are managers deciding what to do themselves? I wrote them about a week ago but haven’t received a response yet. I’m curious to know what they say.

The reason some of your manufacturer coupons won’t work when using a “walgreens manufacturer coupon” even though it’s not a real manufactor coupons, the register won’t allow you to use 2 manufacturers coupons for one item. (if you buy 2 tubs, you can’t use 3 coupons.) Sometimes the inexperience cashier or manager will “hard-key” (walgreens “lingo”, put it in) Some (cheap) store managers care, some just want the sales & they are going to get the money for it anyways. It all depends on the store manager.

I wrote Walgreens on Tuesday when our local store told me that they wouldn’t be getting anymore shipments because the warehouse ran out! I also let them know how disappointed I am with their lack of stock on sale items. They still haven’t responded. Since Tuesday I visited another Walgreens who had plenty of wipes, but they raised the price and wouldn’t take the .50 coupon because the Mgr. said that the $2 is a manufacturer cpn. I have never been so frustrated in all my life. I am ready to quit shopping WAGS!

I feel so awful reading about everyone’s experiences with the Huggies wipes coupon. I just bought two more tubs: they were priced $2.99 (a little higher than last week), and I used the $2 Huggies Wipes Back-to-School coupon and two $1/1 Huggies Wipes peelies that were on my Huggies diapers jumbo packs from WalMart… I just handed the peelies first and then the Back-to-School coupon, no beeps. I wish Wags was more consistent about how they implement their promotions. The RR system is frustrating enough without issues like these popping up.
