Walgreens $5/$20 Coupon Scenario, 10/3 and 10/4

October 2, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 10 Comments

Wow, Walgreens really wants our business! They’ve just released yet another $5 off $20 coupon good Friday 10/3 and Saturday 10/4.

Like the other recent $5/$20 coupons, the terms and conditions state that your subtotal must include all other discounts and coupons to qualify. So after all of your manufacturer coupons and any other Walgreens store coupons, your subtotal must be $20 or greater to use the coupon.

Here’s a super simple, money-making transaction to put this coupon to good use!

BUY Extreme Energy 6-hour Shots at $3.99
BUY L’Oreal Cleansers at $6.99
BUY Rimmel Lasting Finish Mineral Enriched Foundation at $7.49
BUY Oral-B CrossAction Toothbrush $4.49

USE $1/1 L’Oreal Cleanser or Moisturizer, exp. 10-12-08 (SS 7/20/08)
USE $1/1 Rimmel face product, exp. 11-15-08 (RP 9/14/08)
USE $0.75/1 Oral-B Manual Toothbrush, exp. 10-31-08 (P&G 9/28/08)

Out of Pocket $15.21
RRs* Earned $4.49
ESRs** Earned $18.47
EARN $3.26 on this easy transaction!!!

*RRs are Register Rewards. It’s a coupon that will print with your receipt that is good towards your next purchase at Walgreens.

**ESRs are EasySaver Rebates. Learn all about them in my Walgreens 101!

I have a question. I’m new to the Walgreens rebates and this month bought an item but due to an unruley 1 year old didn’t get to finish my shopping. When I entered it into the website it said that the reciept I used was the only one I could enter during the rebate period. I had a friend say she has entered more reciepts then one per month or for that rebate period. I don’t want to buy more and not recieve the rebate. Does anyone know?

    Thanks!!!

Kim, as long as you didn’t click on the “Claim Rebates Now” button, you should be able to go back in and enter more receipts for additional rebates. You always want to use the “Save and Return Later” button until you’re sure you’re done shopping for the month and are ready to submit for all of your EasySaver rebates.

I like everything with $5 Off. I just found a coupon code MAT208 that gives you $5 off upon checkout at iHerb.com This is ranked the #1 online Health store by consumerlabs. I ordered on wednesday my order was at my door on friday. They have same day shipping policy;if they don’t ship the same day shipping is free! Shipping is only $1.99 anyway and if you order $60 or more shipping is free.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT. Read more.
