Could somebody explain something to me… Im a little confused… I thought that if you use a BOGO coupon you couldn’t use any other coupon along with it. But you guys are buying a tin and a refill and using a BOGO and a 1.50 off coupon. Thanks!

Michelle, it varies by store as to whether they’ll allow you to do this or not. Basically, the BOGO coupon is for the item you’re getting free. Thus you can use a $ off coupon on the item you’re actually buying. Does that make sense?

JeriLynn, how were you able to do the rebates? If it’s the one I’m thinking of ($5 SC Johnson rebate),each rebate has to be mailed separately with the original receipt. How were you able to use one receipt for 3 rebates or is there a different rebate out there that I’m not aware of?

I went to walmart last night and their tins and refills are $2.25 and they had 1.50 off coupons inside. so I got 2 tins and 2 refills for 75 cents each.

How are you people getting 5 of the BOGO coupons? I printed it twice and now the site is saying that I’ve already printed it the number of times allowed.

Christina, you can get more than 2 coupons if you have access to more than one computer. Each computer will usually let you print 2 coupons.

Christina, there are also blinkie machines out with the same BOGO coupon in them. One store near me had two of these machines in the same aisle! Now, if only I could find a Target with some stock!!

I went to Target and I didn’t get the gift cards :(
I showed the sign to her and she said that it was for other glade candles and that these are not the “holiday” scents.
    I’m confused ??????????

My store had the tins in a holiday scent at one point. The sticker marking where they were placed on the shelf is still there. Hopefully they will get more in!

Everywhere here has the coupons pulled out of the tins. I’ve opened multiple tins at numerous stores and not a coupon to be found.

Every store that has the tins around me have the coupons removed too. I was at walmart tonight and actually saw five of the glass holders plastic box ripped open and left on another shelf because someone wanted the coupons.

So Targets, Walgreens, and Walmart no coupons in the tins. And I’m outside of Chicage area

I just talked to my wife at Target, who scanned the items on the scanner to view the promo. The Glade holiday jar candles showed a $5 GC would be received with 5; the holiday-scent refills did not. She wasn’t willing to try for the deal if it involved the refills and I wouldn’t have either, since the promo didn’t show up. It’s obviously working for some of you though.

When you use the blinkies, do they show that as its not being sold after they enter the price amount?? one cashier said she would only do it one time and she pushed all of it through. she said that they get in trouble when they push Qs through.

I was not allowed to use the coupons that counted towards the tins. Also they had removed all the coupons out of the tins. Luckily I had some of my own, but like I said was not allowed to use them on top of the BOGO. I also got only one $5 gift card. After all the hassle I had to do with the coupons, I did not feel like saying anything about the second gift card. I was highly disappointed.

    I love this site.

I just returned from doing this deal in Culver City, CA. I used 5 $1.50 off 1 & 5 BOGO refill coupons in a mix of newspaper, print-at-home, and one blinkie. My pretax total was $8.51 and I received two GCs. After scrutinizing my receipt, I notice that two of my coupons did not ring up–the clerk did not say anything about them not going through, however. Strange–and darn!–I’ll have to be more observant in future when using a lot of coupons. Three of the holders had ‘$2 off 2 scented oil candle products coupons’. And may I just say that it is downright sleazy for merchants/shoppers to remove/steal in-product coupons.

BTW, Target have a “5 cents off every time you use a reusable bag” promotion (printed on the bottom of my receipt).

So If you get 2 coupons to print, you could just copy them on a printer same thing right?if you look at the numbers on the coupons they both match… just a thought.

Memw, photocopying coupons is illegal and can not only get you in trouble, but the stores lose money because they can’t redeem them. I’m not being hard on you, because I know a lot of people aren’t aware of this, so I like to take the opportunity to inform everyone whenever it comes up.

Most printable coupons have the same bar code but separate redemption codes that can only be redeemed once. So if a store gets 10 coupons with the same redemption code, they’re only going to get reimbursed for one of them. This hurts everyone in the long run because stores will ultimately stop accepting them.

The coupons I printed off the site all seem to have a water mark of some sort. I would never dream of photocopying, I think we’re lucky to get what we do and very lucky to have someone like Tara who helps us save what we already save.

I had the same problem I bought 2 packs of oil refills 2 candles and 1 scented oil. She said I did not get the gift card as they were not glade air care items. I am emailing a complaint through the Target website. If we all do that maybe they will stop ripping off their customers

Hi guys, when I purchased the holder with the refill which are special for the holiday It counted as the buy a holder get a refill free! awesome christmas gifts. Also, I am not in love with the “oils” becaue they don’t last as long as the candles, so after getting my discount, I took back the oils and refills the next day to exchange for candles. When I did that the lady, returned them and gave me a gift card for $35! which I didn’t expect. You guys are entitled to the gift cards, don’t leave until you get them! But, remember the holiday scents are the only ones you will get the $5 g.c. on.
    have a blessed holiday!

    tammy,
when you got the holder with the refill packages, what else did you buy with those? I’m trying to figure out how you did this and use the buy a holder get a refill free coupon.
the deal that i’ve done that works well is to buy 5 of either the tins or the glass candle holders, and 5 refills packages. I used 5 $1.50 off qs and 5 free refills wyb candle holders. So I paid $5 and a got 2 GCs back. It doesn’t matter what kind of candle holder I bought, or that i did in fact buy the refills……the free refill q would not only require the amount to be put in, but also the cashier had to push it thru by pressing K1.

Jen, Becuse the refill was with the holder it satisfied buying the holder for the free one which was also the holiday refill/holder all in one. Only one of my targets had this holiday set. It does work! Good Luck!

    Sandra to answer your Question:

Try downloading Target weekly sale ad it was in the back of their ad. if you can’t find it in your area try my zip code 95621 Good luck!!!

I’m just wondering, is it really a good idea to buy something with a coupon specifically for that item, then to take them all back and get something else? I have heard stores complaining about people doing that, and I can tell you, it will make it a lot harder for us when we are using coupons. I had a Target manager tell me once that someone came in and bought a bunch of stuff with coupons, then came back and returned it ALL. They know when this kind of stuff happens. It’s not good for the store and it’s not good for coupons. Please, anyone who thinks it might be a good idea to do this, don’t. I don’t want a crackdown on coupons at Target like last year with the Toy coupon.

Holly, My intention was not to return the items it was the decision of the girl at the Customer Service Desk who felt that it was easier for her to do so. Secondly, as long as they get the money I don’t see where or what it matters what inventory is sold for the item. Lastly, they get a certain amount of money for handling the coupon so they weren’t hurt in my transaction I assure you.
