Target: FREE Glade Holiday Candles

November 3, 2010 by 22 Comments

The holidays are just around the corner, and candles are a perfect way to decorate your home. You could also add them to gift baskets as gifts for teachers, neighbors or friends!

Glade Holiday Jar Candles, $2.50 (price cut)
Get a $5 Target GC wyb 5 Select Holiday Glade Candle Items
B1G1 Glade Jar Candle, exp. 11-6-10 (SS 09/26/10)
$1.50/2 Glade Jar Candles printables

Suggested Scenario:

Buy (10) Glade Holiday Jar Candles, $2.50
Use (5) B1G1 Glade Jar Candle, exp. 11-6-10 (SS 09/26/10)
Use (2) $1.50/2 Glade Jar Candles printables
Get (2) $5 Target gift cards
Better than FREE after coupons and Target GCs!

We’ve mentioned some issues with Target’s new registers before, and there’s another issue you may need to be aware of if you want to do this deal. The register will “invisibly” deduct twice the value of the gift cards from the product total, and you will only be able to deduct the remaining balance in manufacturer coupons. To complete the deal, you may need to purchase additional items in your transaction.

Thanks, Common Sense With Money!

So you don’t get the gift cards it deducts it from the candles? I can’t pay the money and walk away with gift cards and candles?

    Hi Ashley,

There aren’t any BOGO printables that I am aware of, but you could use a coupon-clipping site if you want. Coupon Carry-Out has reasonable prices and shipping costs. Just make sure you get your coupons before the deal is over.

The $1.50 off coupon you show is a manufacturer coupon. You can’t combine it with the BOGO as its also a mfr. coupon. Target’s site doesn’t have a glade coupon

glade b1g1 free coupons expire on nov. 6th. you can order them but need to be quick and if your lucky you will get them in time to use them by this Saturday. Hopefully a new b1g1 cpn will appear like last year, but I like the tins better from last year so hope other options appear for this deal.

I don’t have enough bogo coupons to do the suggested but I have a couple of other coupons (one for $3 off any 3 glade products from right @ home and another 1.50 off two from All you Mag (September). I’m trying to put together my deal but i can’t seem to wrap my head around the rules. This is how i understand it…BOGO coupons attach themselves to one item. What about $ off 2 (or three). do they tie up 2 or three items or just one? I have the following coupons 2x BOGO 3x $1.50/2 and 2x $3/3. Help, I’m still new.

    Kat-
Yes the BOGO’s attach to one and then if you have a $/2 that attached to 2. So look at Tara’s scenario. She uses 7 coupons on 10 items. The BOGO’s go toward 5, then the 2 $1.50/2 goes toward 4 items. Hope that helps! Just be warned that some chashiers will tell you you can’t use another coupon with a BOGO. For instance, if you were just buying 2 items and had a BOGO and a $ off, they will say you can’t use both. YOU CAN!

Perfect! Thanks, Mary. looks like i have coupons to make it a MM on 5, but not 10. My target has been pretty good so far and i surprised a cashier yesterday when i used coupons with the Olay MM. I have to go back today for the other half of the olay MM deal so i’ll gladly pick up a few more free items. LOVE IT!

I did the deal last night at Target. I had the $1.50/2 coupons, but didn’t use them as I was working from memory. I only bought 5, not 10 and paid $1.50 for 5 – 30 cents each works for me! (4 jar candles + 1 scented oil jar) 2 BOGO + $1/1 coupons used. While the tabs showing the GC deal were all over, it did not generate at checkout. I had other things and family with me, but went back to cashier and she entered receipt number and turned to me and said “Will cash work?”… yes it will! She handed me a $5 bill :)

The GC deal is not working at my store in Cincinnati either- if you scan at the price checker the item should show that the gc deal is running-it does not at my store

I just tried this deal at 2 stores. The first store said that I couldn’t use all of my BOGO coupons because I was getting the $10 in coupons. The second store I got a manager ringing and he got creative to make sure all of the coupons came off. Not liking the new registers!

    So if I have 2 BOGO coupons and 2 $1.50 off 2 printables. Can I buy 5 candles and use all four coupons and pay $4.50 before tax ($12.50 – 2.50 – 2.50 – 1.50 – 1.50 = 4.50) and get a $5 Target gift card?

You’d have to buy 6 candles to use all coupons which I wouldn’t suggest because it will cause it to no longer be a MM.

      Daniel and Deb –

      Try this link https://www.rightathome.com/Offers/Pages/default.aspx

there’s a $3 off 3 coupon that makes the above deal a little better. I only had 2 BOGO coupons so this is what I was able to do this afternoon…

      Bought 5 candles
      2x b1g1
      1x $3/3

      oop – 4.50
      rec $5 GC
      $.50 MM

I went to the link you provided for $1.50 off two Glade candles and I can only find a coupon for $1.50 off 2 Glade scented oil candles. Are these the same thing or something different? Are they part of this sale also?

I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s
equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy that I stumbled across this during my hunt for something concerning this.
