Target: FREE Dove Men+Care Body Wash + More

March 30, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 10 Comments

If you have the April issue of ALL YOU magazine, you can score FREE travel size Dove Men+Care Body Wash at Target right now!

Dove Men+Care Body Wash (travel size), $0.99
$1/1 Dove Men+Care Product, exp. 5-27-10 (ALL YOU Apr ’10)
FREE after coupon!

I’ve heard that some of you have had issues redeeming coupons for travel size items. As long as the coupon does not have size exclusions on it, you are perfectly within your rights as a consumer to redeem it on travel and trial size products.

Target should adjust the price of the coupon down to the price of the product as per their corporate coupon policy. I recommend printing a copy of this and carrying it with you in case of any issues. In fact, I had one reader comment last week that she keeps the Target Customer Service phone number programmed in her cell phone so she can call right from the checkout if she has issues — smart girl!

My local Target had the full-size bottles (with travel size bonus attached) for $3.38. I used the $1.25 off coupon and the $1 store coupon, and paid $1.13. It was worth the difference to get the full sized bottle!

I have a question, I cannot print the Target coupons, is there any other way I can get them? There are a couple I really really want.

Also, the Travel bins has Dial bar soap 2-pk for $1.
If you have the MQ for $1 off Dial soap – you can get this for free.

Total before coupons….$40.41….total after coupons and gift card at Target tonight….$10.61 :) Real Simple had a coupon for a $5 target gift card when you got 5 or more of the participating products on the coupon…which I did (2 glade candles, 2 ziploc bowls and some clearanced shout)…but when scanned, the error was not enough products purchased (and I had Q’s for all 5 items). I showed her what I got, what the coupon said and instead of giving me a gc, she took off $5 :) Not what I wanted but hey, I’ll take it. The travel sized St.Ives, Clean and Clear, Dial and band-aids all beeped but she pushed them through when I told her no size restrictions listed on the coupon. I called the store once I got back into the car to praise the patience of this cashier-she took all of my coupons in the end. I love when transactions go like this and I know the managers love it when I call NOT to complain :)

Yes, I have had trouble with the travel sizes and coupons as you mentioned. Just last week I grabbed 6 of the St. Ives products and was told by the cashier I couldn’t use the coupons because they were for more than the cost of the item. When I asked her to adjust the coupon down she looked at me like I was from Mars so I asked for a manager who then told me they couldn’t adjust coupons “down” and if I had been allowed to use such coupons before, it was a violation of company policy! Rather than fight, I just left ALL of my purchases right there and walked out.

I think you mean Clean & Clear Morning Burst face scrub, not Clearasil- I just bought mine last night.

Jan, I had a similar problem at Target last night. I never have any problems except at the Target closest to my house, they inspect all the fine print on every coupon I use and compare to every item I purchase.
I tried using a $3 off any Rimmel mascara coupon to purchase a mascara for $2.24. Cashier said I couldn’t use cause the coupon was too high of value so I asked her to adjust down. She called her lead over and the lead said they could adjust value of the coupon down to $2. Uhh…why would you make me pay .24cents.
I guess its time for me to print out a copy of the Target coupon policy and keep in my binder :)

I was in Target last week…. the manager came over becasue I bought the toothpase for .97 each with a coupon for 2.50 off 2 (arm and Hammer). The cashier wanted to make sure it was ok to take the coupon because it was more off than the purchase price (she did not want to loose her job). The manager said that they could take it because they get full face value for the coupon, Target just will not give me cash back…but that is ok because I had other things I was getting! I was sooo excited! You should never have the adjust the coupon down becaues they will get the full face value. This was the deal I got at Target….. $30.00 before coupons….. paid $9.00!!! 70% savings!!

I think it depends on which cashier and manager you get at target. Sometimes they will take the entire face value and sometimes they take off the price only as in the .97 or .99 items sometimes they do 1.00 and sometimes they only give the .97 or .99. But hey, whatever, it’s free so I’m not going to argue since I’m only paying less than a dollar anyway, can’t expect them to pay me to buy it. If they give me full face value, all the better. :)
