I went there today. My Target had some awesome razor clearance deals. Venus Embrace and Shick Quattro and two men’s razors all $7.84. They all came with at least two things…shaving gel, lotion, sunscreen, additional cartridges, etc. With the $4 P&G and the $1 Target coupon from the mailer I did pretty good!

Hello I have a question about the ALL YOU 2 year Magazine Subscription for $17.99. I can’t order online because I don’t use a credit card or debit card. Is there any other way I can get the deal?

Jasmine, at my Target the Kashi waffles are not w/ the other waffles. They are in a totally different place, you may want to ask where they are at your store. I had 5 $1.50/1 Kashi waffles that they sent me so w/ the Target q’s i stocked up and got them for $.24 a box! I also did the soft soap deal again and did the Degree body mist deal getting them for$.04 each. My total was $81.70(this includes 2 babyback ribs for the hubby w/ no coupon!) and paid $21.08 and got a $5 gc from the soaftsoap(which i used on a quilt they had marked down from $39.99 to $19.99, so i got it for $14.99! W/ out the ribs my oop would have been $12.97!!! Great day at Target!! :)

I went to my local Super Target to use coupons on the trial sizes. The cashier called the manager over and she would not honor my coupons for $1.00 because many of the trial sizes were 97 cents. She claimed that she could not unilaterally reduce the amount of the coupon. Has anyone else had this expeience and if so, what is the best way to deal with it? Is there a Target corporate policy that I can rely upon?

I used the $1.00 coupon for the vaseline lotion which was .97 and it took off the dollar without beeping.

I contacted Target CS and I spoke with two people. Apparently, there is no coupon policy per se–I asked for one to be mailed to me. CS said that Target empowers its individual manager to use discretion when accepting coupons. The CS rep said that because I was purchasing more than 4 trial sizes (with coupons) , the manager may have concluded I was unreasonable with the number of items. Huh?? That is not what I was told by the store manager in Atlanta–she refused to accept the coupon for face value reasons–it exceeded the cost of the item and she refused to reduce it. I told CS that I was less likely to shop there if I had no confidence that my coupons would be honored–these were P&G, Redplum coupons from the Sunday circulars. CS did not seem to care.

Well that’s pretty disappointing. Target does have a corporate coupon policy because they sent it to me when I emailed and asked for it. I reposted it here:

    https://www.dealseekingmom.com/target-corporate-coupon-policy/

While it doesn’t specifically address the use of coupons on trial size items, it does say this:

“We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we’re able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.”

    Traci:
My sister had the same problem in our local Target. We live in Texas and she was told the same thing. The manager refused to honor the coupons and was told that the manufacturer intended for the coupons to be used on regular sized items! ……just another excuse!

Just got back from Target with some mixed feelings. My receipt says I saved $54.03 and OOP was $13.00, but it was not without MAJOR hassle! I was excited to find the Kashi cereal boxes each had 3 $1 coupons on them and the Pantene expressions had $3/2 on them which added to my pile of coupons I went with, but the cashier was soooooo annoyed with coupons in general and would not take any $1 ones for items that were .99 – claiming they are not allowed to change the value of a coupon. She did not consider the crystal lite at the check out as a sample though, even though that was .99 – nor the Renu which was $1.52 here in NY. Then I found that at least 11 printable coupons did not even scan. Some she put in manually and some she just ignored, but never bothered to tell me she was not using them – she kept the coupons and left the items in my bag. Even as I questioned each item she kept rambling and ignoring them. She kept the BOGOF cereal and 2 – $2 dry idea ones without even using them. Customer service had to get involved and go through my receipt by hand and check off everything before they would give me back the $6.66 in coupons that did not scan.

    Here’s my loot:
    2 kashi cereal
    2 kashi cereal bars
    2 kashi chewy bars
    1 kashi crackers
    1 kashi cookies
    2 dry idea roll on
    2 pantene expressions shampoo
    2 pantene stylers
    pictureka card game ($6.64 – $5 printable)
    3 crystal lite samples
    1 tide sample
    1 all sample
    1 renu sample

So – the moral of this story is I will not bother trying to get the sample sizes anymore and I will pick a cashier who looks competant enough to carry on with a transaction without even bothering to make sure the coupons are scanning. I waited almost an hour while customer service went over each of my coupons one at a time to check them off my receipt to make sure I was not scamming or something. BUT – when we were finished and the 2 women at the service desk were in awe of the savings amount I gave them both your website! ;-) Thanks so much! I normally spend hours searching for coupons to go with sale items – now I just follow all of your links!

Target has Dry Idea deoderant on sale for $2.49. There is still a Coupon for $2.00 off, making them .49 each.

I am blessed to live in an area, the tri-cities, which is in NE Tennessee, where we have 2 Targets. The first time I used my coupons on trial sized items I had no ploblems. I was so excited. However, that wasn’t the closest store to me. Plus it was in another county & I try hard to do most of shopping the county I live in due to the taxes being paid. So, the next time I tried to use them at the store that is 20 minutes away versus 45 minutes. I must have at least $30.00 worth of free stuff plus some other items that I was buying. Anyway, they would not do it. The cashier called someone over, then that person went to customer service & they still wouldn’t do it. I told them I didn’t want anything that I would go to the other store where they accepted my coupons. Of course, they were talking about me as I was heading out the door. I did go back to the other store & again they accepted my coupons. I was so grateful & thankful & I let them know that I appreciate them taking the coupons. Now there is no choice they will always have my business…even if it is out of the way. I just need to plan my trips so I can do other things in that area.

Jeanette, OOP is couponing slang for “out of pocket,” meaning the amount you actually had to pay after coupons. You can find other terms here:
