ALDI truth #72: You can stretch your appetite and your dollar.
Isn’t that so true? ALDI has always been one of my favorite sources for rock bottom prices on produce, but they’re so much more than that. Did you know that ALDI offers more than 1,300 of the most frequently purchased grocery items for up to 50 percent less than traditional supermarkets?
And that’s not even scratching the surface — you’ll also find amazing prices on Fresh USDA Choice meats, award-winning wines and incredible outdoor entertaining items.
What, you didn’t know that ALDI carries wine?!? I know what you’re thinking, but I’ll let you in on a little secret — it’s really very good. I had the opportunity to do a blind taste test of several varieties at an event a few years ago, and I chose the ALDI brand for every pairing but one. Impressive taste, and your wallet will be thanking you when you hit the register!
ALDI recently released its 2014 Summer Catalog to help you entertain in style, while staying within your budget. The catalog showcases everything from sizzling BBQ items, outdoor entertaining pieces, colorful recipes and more!
I am absolutely in love with this little wooden bistro set that folds up for easy storage. Can you believe it’s priced at just $49.99? A little swipe of oil at the end of each summer, and this set should last for many years, making it a fabulous value.
I know I already mentioned the produce, but I wanted to point out that ALDI is a great source for organic produce, as well! And be sure to check out their SimplyNature line for a steal on frozen organic berries. They’re at least $1 cheaper than what I’ve price in other store in my area, fueling my morning smoothie addiction without emptying my wallet.
