I like a nice baked ham, no sauces on it. I also love sugar cookies that are made with powdered sugar instead of the granulated sugar. Many recipe books have this recipe in it, except I don’t use vanilla extract, I use anise flavoring and I double or triple the amount the recipe calls for in the flavoring department. The anise makes the cookies taste like black licorice, but it is colorless, so it doesn’t change the color of the cookies. My younger sis prefers almond extract, and sometimes she’ll use an orange extract for the flavoring instead of vanilla.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
