Regional Coupon: BOGO Purex (Makes for FREE Detergent at CVS)

April 15, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 81 Comments

BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent CouponIt seems that this coupon is regional based on zip code, but hopefully many of you will be able to print this BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent coupon. Print limit reached now.

If you’re lucky enough to be in one of the locales they’re targeting (it should show in the upper left column or click household to verify), run to CVS to redeem it for FREE laundry detergent by pairing it with their BOGO sale through Saturday!!!

(Of course you know I had to print it right away so that accounts for the print limit reached on my image, LOL! Thanks, Mercedes!)

Amy- You don’t have to buy one at full price to get the other 4 for free. CVS is running buy one, get one- that is a store sale. The coupon is for buy one, get one- that is a manufacturer’s sale. So you get all 4 for free, no 5th bottle is needed.

this is a general question: can i scan the coupon and send it to a friend who cant print it out due to it being a work computer?

so, if i scan it and i use mine will she be able to use the coupon too? or does it pop up as invalid?

I dont want to cheat the system, but I was wondering that since I have seen pdf coupon images and printed them, but have yet to use them.

    thx

I just went to CVS to use coupon and they did not accept it. When cashier tried to scan coupon it wouldn’t scan and he told me that I’m not allowed to use BOGO coupon on BOGO product.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks.

I am very confused on this. I have just started doing the shopping with coupons. I called my CVS and they said you cant use a manuf. coupon for BOGO if they are already offering this.

Can someone explain in detail how to get this to work?

    Thanks

    HI
I am new to all of this and appreciate all the help and deals.
I dont understand this coupon. I called my local CVS and they stated that if there is a BOGO going on already, you cant use a manuf one.

What needs to be done to get this to work. I still dont understand how it is free.
    Thanks

Personally, I find it best to just not ask any questions about the coupons…Just try the deals you figure out yourself or that you have read on sites like this that others have found successful. Every now and then you will get a cashier who acts like their brain will explode when you give them a pile of coupons, and they feel like instead of scanning them they need to read every piece of fine print, etc..etc.. but most of the time I just casually hand them off to the cashier, they scan them, and all is well. I always have an estimate in my head of what the total should be before I check out.. that way I will know immediately if my deals/coupons all worked properly. If not, I will simply ask about it.. but I don’t like to make a big fuss.. and luckily, I have never really had to. Oh.. and make sure they scan your CVS loyalty card or the special promotions will not apply to your total (i.e: BOGO promos)

I was able to print 4 coupons using 2 computers and someone else’s zip code. Got 8 bottles of Purex for nothing but tax. No problem using the BOGO coupons with the BOGO sale here in NE Florida!

NO, please do not scan and/or copy coupons. It is coupon fraud and that is what makes companies hesitant to issue internet printables and retailers skeptical of couponers. Don’t cheat the system, please!

Last week the cashier would not let me do the BOGO coupons with the BOGO cvs offer on the Sobe drinks….so, I emailed corporate and asked them about it. They replied to me that it should have been done, and I should only have had to pay sales tax. I suggest to those of you that are having problems….email corporate and then bring in the printed response to show the cashier. This is what I plan on doing with the Purex. :)

Stopped by CVS this morning and was able to get four bottles free, plus tax. The store manager was checking me out and was totally confused as to how to enter the coupons! He only wanted to take off $3.49 for each, but I told him the coupon value is up to $7. He ran them through, but I guess he was thinking that technically buying two they are each $3.49 @@

    Dear Ms. Kim Brimage,

Thank you for contacting CVS/pharmacy. I am in receipt of your e-mail regarding our coupon policy. I am happy to help you.

Ms. Brimage, I apologized for any confusion. When you have a coupon for a buy one get one free item and there is a buy one get one free offer you will pay only sales tax for the item. Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

Ms. Brimage, if you have any additional questions regarding coupon policies at CVS/pharmacy please feel free to contact us again. We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us. We thank you for your patronage.

    Sincerely,

    Patty

I tried to use my Purex BOGO coupon today and was told by the manager that she could not give me something for “free”. I was not feeling confrontational, so passed on the opportunity to remind her that if she didn’t accept my coupon, she was losing $7.00 from the manufacturer. Any one else have this problem today?

Gail, a BOGO coupon is a “buy one get one free” coupon. The Purex coupon I blogged about is already gone, but I’ll post new ones as they’re found.

I’m really sorry for those of you that weren’t able to redeem it. Please consider emailing CVS customer service about the issue, because it’s definitely part of their policy. Hopefully this will prompt them to educate their employees better about their coupon redemption practices.

I sent my husband off to the store earlier to get my four bottles of detergent and the Softsoap, and he did a fabulous job of bringing it all home for $6 and change! He wasn’t given any trouble whatsoever, and I’m so proud of him for making the attempt for me.

Just wanted to post that I did print the coupons off this morning even though I wasn’t in the proper region for it.
My husband went to CVS for me earlier this evening because I was busy taking care of the little ones, but to cut the story short, my DH came back with 4 FREE bottles of Purex- no sales tax, either.
Cashier was very nice and gave him no qualms on the coupons- in fact, praised him for finding a great deal. (So THANKS!, Tara!)
Hope more of you are having luck with this coupon.

Does anyone have CVS’s BOGO Coupon policy handy that they can email me? I tried the BOGO purex with a BOGo coupo and the cashier wouldn’t let me. I explained the manufacturer would reimburse the store but her still wouldn’t let me. i email corporate but have yet to get a response. I’d like to get this product before the store’s offer passes. Thanks.

I am in North Carolina. I just wanted to say thanks to Tara and her site DealSeekingMom for the tip on the Purex. I ran out to a local CVS today and walked out with my 4 bottles for only 94 cents. Had to pay only the tax! Wish I had more! The cashier was a young guy. He didnt question me at all–just scanned the coupons and my CVS card and let me go. I have to say it was a little exciting(weird right?), and it was almost like I was doing something wrong-lol!!

i tried at my local cvs, with 4 bottles of purex and 2 coupons that i legitimately printed. the cashier said she could only take 1 coupon, and i tried to explain to her that CVS was giving me one for the BOGO sale, and then the manufactuer was paying for the other. she asked the supervisor, who came and told me i was frauding their company!! she asked if i still wanted to get them, and i said not if i can’t use the coupons like i should be able to. and then she walked away and ignored me!!

OMG LMFAO!! well anyway, i’m not all bent out of shape about it, but i don’t appreciate being humilated in front of a bunch of people. i will email them and or call and see what corporate has to say about it.
