Money4Moms: Earn with Swagbucks

April 15, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 17 Comments

m4mfJoin us on Money4Moms tonight to get the scoop on Swagbucks!

Mercedes and I are pleased to have Andrea from MommySnacks.net on to explain the programs and share tips for maximizing our earnings! I’m new to SwagBucks as well, so I’ll be learning along with you.

What is Swagbucks?

Basically it’s a site that allows you to earn great prizes such as iPhones, iPods, concert tickets, gift cards, and more just for using them to search the Internet. For example, an Amazon.com egift certificate is only 45 SB!

Why not get paid for something you’re already doing anyhow? And don’t worry about the quality of the searches – Swagbucks is powered by Google. Plus, they often offer special codes for additional points as well, so it’s not hard to rack up enough points to redeem often!

How do I sign up?

It’s super easy! Just go to Swagbucks and register. Plus, I’ve got an exclusive code for Deal Seeking Mom readers that will net you 5 points when you sign up – 3 points for registering with swagbucks plus an additional 2 points when you enter DEALSEEKINGMOM in the SwagCode box.

(Note: The code is only good for new registrants and expires at midnight PST on 4/20.)

So get yourself all set up, and then listen to Money4Moms tonight at 10pm EST/9pm CST for tips on getting the most bang out of Swagbucks!

Here’s a hint to get you started: Download one of the plugins for your browser to earn without even trying!

Tiffany, it’s only good for new registrations. Do you already have a Swagbucks account or are you trying to register?

It’s a little similar, Deanna. However, you’re not receiving daily emails that you have to click on. You earn by doing Internet searches, and you can also earn by shopping through them.

I was surprised that you haven’t written about it before! I have been using Swag Bucks for about 4 months and already have 100 Swag Bucks just from doing Internet searches. I installed the toolbar which makes doing the Internet searches easier. The search is not as good as Google but it works for most things and if it doesn’t then I just use Google.

For swagbucks pros: do you cash in you bucks as you go or do you hold onto them? If you have 300 bucks do you get a ton of $5 amazon cards or do you order the cards everytime you hit 45?

It didn’t work for me either, Deanna. :(

Charlene, I think it just depends on your needs. Remember as we discussed that you can only redeem for two gift cards per day, so you might want to redeem as you go if that’s what you want. If you want a large item, then you’d be wise to save them up.

Deanna & Tara – the swag code was only valid for an hour, so if you did not enter the swag code in that hour, it was expired and wouldn’t work for you. Swag codes are very time sensitive, most expire in two hours or less. To learn more about swagcodes and how to use them, check out the article we wrote here: https://www.engineeradebtfreelife.com/2009/03/what-are-swagcodes-swag-codes-and-where.html

My guess is another swag code will be released today, so feel free to check our blog throughout the day for swagcode updates – we track the swagcodes on our blog, to help our readers get more free money! Woot! :)

Mrs Den- this article explains where to find swag codes – https://www.engineeradebtfreelife.com/2009/03/find-new-swagcodes-swag-codes-at-swag.html

swagcodes are different than swagbucks, which you get through searches.
