How are the fish fillets free? I was thinking it would be $2.99.
    Am I missing something?

Hillary, since you’re buying two item (even though one is free), you can use two coupons. I know it’s kind of confusing, but it works!

I had a shock when I went to my Publix on Friday afternoon. The cashier called the manager over and said “We have another one.” Well the manager proceeded to explain that Publix had changed it’s corporate policy and could no longer take coupons on the free item. This is the first time it’s happened to me. So I very nicely told the manager I would like to put everything back. I haven’t been to another Publix yet, but I’ll keep you updated. It was the Winter Haven, FL, Cypress Gardens Publix.
I also did not have a BOGO coupon at this purchase, so I don’t know if they have stopped using those on BOGO items too.

Tara, Please say this isn’t so…have you heard anything about
Publix no longer taking coupons on “free” items? God help
us all if they start that or worse stop taking competitor coupons!!

Oh, wow, we don’t have Publix here in Central Ohio, so I’m not really sure. This might be a good one to post in the new forums to see if others are having the same experience!

I went to Publix in Port Saint Lucie, FL yesterday. I used coupons on the Pasta Roni & the Starkist Seasations which were B1G1F & i had one coupon for each item. The only problem I have had with coupons at Publix is internet coupons…they will not take one for over $5 & they will not take one for a free item at all.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
