Yes, it’s time for the watching and waiting for new coupons to begin. My guess is that we’ll see a refresh on Thursday evening – hopefully they will do it much earlier than last week!

In case you’re new to the Old Navy Weekly game, each week they refresh their site with new, high-value coupons hidden in different places throughout the page. They never share where they’re going to be hidden or what time they will add them to the site, so you just have to keep refreshing the site. For some examples of they hide them, check out last week’s wrap-up post and practice on the current page.
The good news is that there are some fantastic and dedicated Deal Seeking Mom readers who’ll hang out with you in the comments section and help you figure out where the coupons are hidden when the site does refresh. They’re really great at answering questions too, so ask away – thanks, everyone!

I can’t guarantee that it won’t work again, but I can tell you that people have found out they have used coupons after going in to shop and then check out.
Sometimes hackers get into the database and set their computers to keep trying to match random alphanumeric codes until they find a match. That’s the most frequent cause of a “used”coupon that you legitimately found yourself when the site went live.
ON does have the ability to check these coupons in their database, as well as many other store issued coupons that need to be activated before the handed to you. Never hurts to get employee initials on coupons issued in store at the checkout for that reason.
As for the eBay sellers, they tend to use programs that stop the program so that they don’t have to chase the parrot or squirrel down etc. Some also use hacker scripts that just completely exploit the entire program and cough up vast numbers of high value coupons.
This time, Old Navy shut down the thieves to a great extent in a number of ways. Many of them were unaware the drop even happened to begin with and didn’t have so much luck with their programs working. You won’t see so many coupons appearing on eBay this time because of that and virtually none of the $65.
I won’t say that Old Navy has them beat permanently but they are making inroads into making this a more level playing field.

I forgot to mention, the rumor about the coupons being good more than once probably goes back a few weeks to when they were good for up to four uses, due to that pesky hacker issue.
Again, I do think they are only good for one use now. If you use it and want to know if it is good again, come home and call ON customer service and have them check if the coupon has been used.

K-Mart was having a sale–40% off clearance priced clothing. I got the 3 pair of jeans for the boys, and a couple of outfits for the baby. Right now they have some shoes up to 70% off online. But the real deal is the men’s clearance clothing is marked an additional 60% off online. (add item to cart to see discount) If anyone’s child is required to wear collared polo shirts to school and can wear a man’s size small (or med to xl) they are $4.00 right now in assorted colors. They have a lot of small sizes left in their men’s jeans too.
