Old Navy: Unadvertised $20 Off $20 Coupon Through 6/28

June 27, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 31 Comments

Old Navy Weekly CouponsBack to the drugstore match-ups in just a moment . . . I had to drop them to bring you this awesome Old Navy news!

Jen from Thrifty Northwest Mom just emailed me to share that several of her readers have reported receiving coupons for $20 off a $20 purchase (FREE clothes anyone?!?) good July 6th-9th when they spent $50 in store!

This offer is reportedly going on through Sunday, June 28th, so you can take double advantage of it with the $5 Swim & Shorts offer this weekend. The $50 threshold should be on your total before coupons, so make sure to print your 15% off any Old Navy Purchase coupon before you go!

ha! my old navy is the BEST! The girl behind the counter likes me, I guess, because I only spent $13 and she gave me the $20 freebie! I wish I had split it into several different transactions!

Someone on Jen’s blog reported that they didn’t get one yesterday, and they called and were told to come back in and pick up their coupon. So it’s worth a call to check it out!

Thanks for the tip! Does the coupon automatically print with the receipt or do they hand it to you?

I used a $30 off $100 coupon and received the $20 coupon to use between 7/6-7/9 (this coupon had to be “activated” by the cashier). My savings today were $118 from sales prices + the $30 coupon. Now I can go save another $20 next week!!

I was there last night and saw them sitting by the register. I asked how you could earn them, the cashier didn’t know, so he just have me one!

Stephanie – I hope they don’t have to be activated!

Wow! My husband and I were just there, and we used a $50/100, but we had no idea it was a $20 coupon with no minimum purchase! I thought the sign in the store said $20 on a $50 purchase. In addition, we also got a $5 coupon (again, with no minimum purchase!) for using my Old Navy card. Thanks for the heads up–I probably wouldn’t have used the coupon otherwise!

I got one of these coupons today and I don’t think she scanned mine to “activate” it. I just called my Old Navy to ask about that and the manger said that it’s not required to scan it. It should still work when you go use it. I’m still going to take my receipt from today just in case, so I can prove I earned the coupon.

Wow!! I’ll have to call our Old Navy store to see if they have them. Some friends of mine who shop ON are out of town – bet they wouldn’t let me pick up any extras would they.

Julia, Kristen, and others: I used to work at Banana Republic and we did one of these promotions. It was widely known across the company that cashiers were not activating the coupons like they were supposed to and so they had an alternate way of applying the discount. Hopefully that will happen this time around, too, because mine didn’t get activated either!!

There were some really great deals at ON today, was so excited to get more stuff for the kids. Especially little girls. Much of the stuff that wasn’t $5 was 50% off – including dresses, tank tops, other shorts. They also had kids jeans again 2/$22. I had the 25% off coupon as well. AND I got the $20 coupon.
the only spiculation I can see with this coupon is that it says one coupon per customer, so if you have more than one you might have to divide up your transactions.

I was at Old Navy today and spent over $50 and didn’t get one! I’m going to have to call tomorrow. I did, however, get my son over 15 outfits for $37 once I used by 25% off $50 with the $5 sale.

I didn’t have the best customer service tonight- I was arguing with both the cashier and the manager, but they would not give me the $20 coupon unless I spent over $50 after the coupon- so I spent more than I planned, but I will get $20 of free merchandise in July.

I got the 30 off a 100 purchase coupon. My totoal only came to 78 and the cashier busy goofing off on the phone so he gave me the discount. So I paid only 48 when after all the sale discounts and the 30 off was applied. On top of that I got a 20 off coupon from the lady restocking the shelves ( there was a whole pile on her cart) AND the cashier. So anyone who goes in there, just ask someone about the coupon. I recieved the one from the lady when I was just looking at the shirts when I first walked into the store!!

I went in yesterday and bought a lot of stuff with my 25% off 5$, (it seemed like everything was on sale and for 50% off.) , but before the the cashier applied the discount he scanned the 20$ coupon. I ended up spending 40$ and I really did get a lot plus the coupon for next week…yay!! I would have not even known about the coupons if it werent for this site…. so thank you!!!

I just came from my Old Navy. I spent over$70.00, she handed me the $20 coupon and then I handed her my 25% off coupon. It then brought my balance to $48.79. She asked for the coupon back. Has to be $50 before discount. She said the computer automatically voids it if the purchase is less than $50 and it would not be any good if I tried to use it. She said the coupon has to be validated to be good. Needless to say, I grabbed a lip gloss to bring it to over $50.

I just spent $12 and some change today and received 2 coupons. We even asked a person who confirmed the total was supposed to be $50 after coupons. Lucky day at ON!

well, I called. My total after my 25% off $50 or more was $40.50 and apparently that is why I didn’t get one. Apparently, my total should have been $50 after coupon to get the other coupon. I told her I wish I would have known that, I could have easily spent more to get that coupon. I wish the cashier would have told me “hey, if you spend another $10, you get this coupon”. Oh well…

I spent $85 AFTER my 15% off coupon and I didn’t hear or see anything about a $20 coupon! I will have to give my ON a call today to see if they offered them. Is this supposed to be something that goes on at ALL ON’s?

So, I called my ON and asked about the coupon. The girl that answered said that she thought the promo just started… (I called Monday). She had me talk to the manager and I explained that I had spent $85 on Saturday and was wondering if they had that promo going on. She told me it was and to come in with my receipt and they would give the coupon to me. She was really nice about it. I recommend you calling your ON if you didn’t get yours!
