Old Navy: $2 Costumes and Goodies 10/30 and 10/31

October 27, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 36 Comments

Old Navy Halloween Costumes $2
Old Navy is marking down all Halloween costumes and goodies to just $2 on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st!

Trick or Treat is Thursday night in our neighborhood, but hopefully some of you can score some inexpensive last minute costumes. Or you could buy a bigger size and get a jump on next year.

While supplies last.

(Thanks, Give Me Neither!)

FYI the Old Navy by me has only about 2 costumes left as of right now, so I wouldn’t make a special trip for this.

I just called my local Old Navy and the person I spoke to has heard nothing about a sale like this for Friday and Saturday. Does anyone know the origin of this deal? Did Old Navy email this to someone??

I posted this on the last ON weekly thing, but i will re-post here. For those of you who are in need of higher % off at ON but don’t have a coupon, this is a great option:
Old Navy is having Stuff N Save starting this friday, Oct 30th, and going until the 8th of November (I think- check with your store to double check).

For the first time, they are having it as 30% off instead of the usual 20%. For the first 50 people through the door on the friday, they are offering 50% off entire purchase!! The catch, of course, is that you have to use your Old Navy credit card. If you have one, you should have received your stuff N Save mailer, which is basically a coupon for a free re-usable tote. If you did not receive your mailer, you can still participate in the sale, you just won’t get the tote. If you don’t have a card yet, you can apply during the promotion while making your purchase and still be eligible for the 30% off.

FYI- if you DO have a coupon from Old Navy weekly or any other source, you can not combine it with the 30% off for this promotion for extra savings- it is one deal per transaction, regardless whether it is % or $X/XX off.

Do you know how often they do stuff n save? I don’t have a card so I’d apply but would MUCH rather get the 50% off!

They do the SnS a few times per year but it is usually a straight 20% off. I have never seen them do 30% let alone a 50% off incentive. If you want to get the 50%, get there early on friday! I know my local stores are offering the 50% off to new and existing cardholders, but this is YMMV because the original promotion was for it to be for existing cardholders only. So your store may only honor it for existing cards.

I just called ON locally with some questions regarding Stuff n Save. The gal told me the policy has changed and its still called Stuff N Save but now you get 50% off your ENTIRE purchase, regardless of what does or doesn’t fit in the bag! I’m so damn excited…see ONWeekly,we don’t need your stinkin’ coupons! I told her I’d be lined up outside at 5AM!

I just applied for a card online…while I won’t have the actual card on Friday, the gal at ON assured me I would be eligible for the full 50% off. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what time I arrive? My store opens at 10 so I thought I’d be waiting in my car about 8? Is that too early? I’m such a loser!

in my experience it has never really been limited to what you can fit in the bag….just the name the promotion. I guess this would be YMMV though…

If you have applied for the card but don’t have it your # can always be looked up in the store by an associate. You may as well wait until friday to apply though!

In my area, people don’t line up all night, but if you are in a competitive shopping area, 8 might not be too early! my local store opens at 9:30 fridays

What is YMMV? I’m in a fairly rural area so I don’t expect much competition but I might cry if I was #51…I think I’ll get there early and hang out in my car. I’m sure my kids will appreciate me acting out my neurotic tendencies! I only applied today in case it was limited to existing cards…I seriously have an issue!

YMMV= your mileage may vary, which is basically depends on your store. Some things are store dependent or will vary from location to location. Take a good book and conserve energy for your shopping :)

50% off is worth the extra couple of hours I think!!

I have a Gap Card, that works in ON, does the card have to be “ON” or can I use my Gap card and still get the discount?

Yes, you can use your Gap, Banana or Old Navy card for the discount, you just may not receive your mailer for the free tote in the mail.

Just a little Christmas tip/idea: Our kids, like most, love to play dress-up. Each year when the halloween costumes get marked down really low (we usually just do Target’s sale, when it gets to 75% or more off) I go to Target and buy any non-scary costume that I know my kids would play with to put in the dress-up box. I have all boys right now, but they always love playing pretend with police, firefighter, knight, star wars, etc., costumes. Then I actually save them and give them as Christmas gifts! my kids love them, and I never end up spending more than a few dollars on each costume set! Also, because they’re just for playing with, it doesn’t matter if they don’t have your child’s exact size. It’s usually better to get at least one size up anyway!

Does anyone know if the first 50 people is actually the first 50 people who walk in the door, or the first 50 people who get to the register? I would hope in the door so I wont have to rush inside!

Fabby what do you mean by price adjustment? Like if I bought something like a coat for 100 and the next week it was on sale for 50 i could get the extra 50 back?

Too bad I am totally against credit cards after going through bankruptcy and losing my house to foreclosure – would have been nice to get 50% off! (but I can still get 30% ?? or just if you use your card??)

Marcie- 30% off is only for cardholders or those who open a new card. That is the discount offeredfrom the 30th-Nov 8th for everyone who is NOT the first 50 in on the 30th.

Monica- Old Navy will adjust prices within 14 days with a receipt. So yes, if you bought a coat for $100 that goes on sale the next week for $50, you will get your $50 back. They just need to scan your receipt and it will automatically tell you if anything you purchased has decreased. Only good for 2 weeks after purchase though.

went to my old navy today ( northeast pa) and i guess word got out last week about the sale so they had over 100 on hold ( kids costumes). luckily i was able to snag 3 that people i guess decided otherwise on. ( my daughter loves dress up) they also had kids and adult shirt, dog costumes, under wear and accessories all on sale for the $2.00. plus my old navy had all clearance at an extra 50% off. usually its just 1 dept at a time. plus they were giving people 20% off just because. i dont have a card nor do i want one and the cashier still scanned a paper that gave me 20%off. in total i got 3 costumes, 2 pair of halloween lounge pants, 3 jumpers for my upcoming arrival, 2 pairs of shorts, a puppy costume and 3 long sleeve shirts for my son for a grand total of $13.75!!! pretty darn good!!!
