Kroger Deals Week of 1/31/10

February 1, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 13 Comments

Kroger Weekly Deals

Kroger deals and matchups are provided by Renae, who blogs at Madame Deals, where she teaches others how to make dollars out of change. She also provides store deals, recipes, money saving tips, ideas on stockpiling and family activities.

New to couponing? Read up on what all of these abbreviations mean first in my quick reference guide.

Read more about Kroger’s corporate coupon policy to make the most of these deals!

Because Kroger coupon policies vary across different regions, you should verify your local store’s policy on doubling coupons. All matchups include double coupons up to $0.50, and we’ve noted where the final price will be lower for stores that double up to $0.99.

The mega event continues this week, which makes for some great deals. Here are five of my favorite, but click to continue for a full matchup of all deals at Kroger!

In Vinton, VA the Post Cereal is on 1.99 if you purchase 10 select items. When you use the coupon the cereal comes off the ticket and doesn’t count as 1 of the 10 items so you get the cereal for FREE but you loose the extra discount on the other 9 items.

Hi everyone, 1st I want to say that I am new to couponing, but I appreciate each and everyone of you helping me to find the great deals. I am calling all my friends together to share with them what your wonderful site has done for me and my family. I do have a couple of questions, that I would really appreciate some help on. I missed the great deal on the sale that Meijers/Krogers had the week of 1/10 with the 10/$10 because I started using coupons the week after. Can anyone tell me how often the same item is put on sale and if there is another store besides Krogers and Meijers around the Detroit Metropolitan area that take internet coupons and double up to .50 cent.
    Any information would be appreciated.

Bobbie, is there a specific product you’re referring to or just the 10/$10 sale in general?

Paula, just click on the link that corresponds to the browser you’re using — (IE) for Internet Explorer or (FF) for Firefox.

Hi Tara, I was referring to the 10/$10 deal or something like it. My coupons for the pillsbury biscuits and the Betty Crocker warm delights expire on 2/12 and 2/15 and I don’t know if I will get a opportunity to get a deal like that some where else. That’s why I was asking if anyone else knows other stores I could go to around the Detroit, MI area.

The Kroger deals posted don’t match the ad that came to my house or any ad I can find on line. For example, my ad says Goldfish are .99 and not .88. Thanks

    Carrie,

Many grocery chains have “price zones” and prices do vary from zone to zone. Price may not only vary from state to state but also within different markets in the same state. While your prices may be a little higher, I’m sure you savings are comparable on a percentage basis.

Carrie — same here. Many of my prices are increased by 50 cents on about half the items. And my Kroger only doubles up to 50 cent coupons. Starting to think it’s expensive to live in Houston. Even though many of my prices are higher, i still love the savings i find from frequenting this website. :o)

The Suave deodorant is on sale for $10/10 [$1 each] and after the
.50 Coupon from this past weekend [I think, could be the weekend before] was doubled, it was free!

Also- Jennifer, I’m not sure what happened at your store, but I’m in Richmond, VA and didn’t have that problem. I was trying to keep track of how many increments of 10 I had [I lost out on the last trip not knowing that it had to be 10, 20… etc.] so I had the cashier count for me and we had 30. My total was $91.17 and after coupons and my Kroger card, my savings were $71.07 for a total of $20.10 oop. I had 3 $5 off for the Mega Sale and the 2 free Post Raisin Bran Cereal I got [1.99 with the $2 coupon] didnt affect my total items. I had 30 items with 3 $5 off.

How does the Old El Paso Catalina promo work? If I have earned 3 $3 Catalinas for beef or chicken, can I use all 3 on a single $9 chicken/beef purchase? Or do I need to use one Catalina per chicken/beef item?

Also, if I use a Catalina to buy chicken/beef but am also purchasing 6 more more Old El Paso products to generate another Catalina, will my $3 ONYO Catalina still print out or do I need to do them in separate transactions?

Thanks so much! I am new to the Catalina deals.
