Yes, those are my pretty little peppers! My garden went in late, so it’s just now starting to produce. Hopefully you’re already harvesting your own fresh, homegrown produce!
The Home Depot asked me to share some facts with my readers about their Garden Club, AND they’ve generously given me yet another $100 The Home Depot gift card to give away! The lucky winner will be able to get products to beef up their garden or to help out with any other project around the house.
- Did you know that members of The Home Depot Garden Club can get their questions answered by experts? It’s true – if you can’t find the answer to your burning garden and lawncare question, you can ask an expert and expect a response within 24 hours.
- The Home Depot Garden Club also provides valuable information about your region and updates on local gardening events online!
- And members can expect to receive exclusive coupons and tips, and DIY advice on gardening, lawn care, landscaping and outdoor living projects.
I know I’ve been a happy subscriber for some time now, and the coupons that are sent out are an excellent value.

My favorite project is starting veggies from seeds indoors. Seeds are so much cheaper than starter plants!

You know, home air conditioners drip condensation, and it is usually wasted by just squirting around the outside unit into the dird. One smart Home Depot employee explained how one can usefully harvest those squirts of water as a drip system with that thin black tubing onto our nearby tomato plants, and wow, they must really love having that frequent drink! I have never had so many home-ripened ‘maters! Also helping along, is our composted dirt, which the soil in our yard really needs the boost. Hooray Home Depot for hiring smart employees! Our next project might be that island garden bed. Why limit yourself to the borders of the house, and property line when making a flower bed? It would make a beautiful place to look at wherever we choose! (I already subscribe to DSM via e mail)

Making a raised garden in my yard has been a long time dream of mine. I’ve been “meaning” to do it for EVer. I long to have herbs, fruit and veggies at my finger tips!!

The bubble fountain looks wonderful. We used to have a small pond at our previous house and I really miss it, but there just doesn’t seem to be a good spot for one at our current home. The sound of moving water is so relaxing. This will be a great solution!

Making my own compost is definitely my favorite project in the Garden Club. Ever since we started eating out less and cooking in more, we have SO much more biodegradable trash. I almost feel guilty throwing it away so a compost pile is high on my list of projects.
