Have We Seen the Last of the $1/1 Kellogg’s Coupons?

November 7, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

Are the $1/1 Kellogg’s coupons on Coupons.com gone for good? I don’t know for sure, but they have yet to make their daily appearance today.

The good news is that the great Kellogg’s coupons I mentioned learning about in Bentonville will be in the Valassis insert this Sunday, November 9th!

Here’s a sneak peek at what will be included:

  • $1/2 Kelloggs All-Bran Fiber Product, any (exp. 1-4-09)
  • $1/1 Kelloggs Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes, etc. Cereal, 8 oz.+ (exp. 12-21-08)
  • $1/1 Kelloggs Rice Krispies, Frosted Mini-Wheats, or Crispix Cereal, 10 oz.+ (exp. 12-31-08)
  • $1/1 Kelloggs Smart Start, Special K or All-Bran Cereal, 11.4 oz.+ (exp. 12-21-08)
  • $0.55/1 Kelloggs Pop-Tarts, any 8 ct.+ .55 (exp. 1-3-09)

I think I’ll be buying several papers this Sunday for extra inserts!

I’m still trying to get the swing of stock piling and coupons, etc. I’ve heard there can be major deals scored with cereal. Question is, with $1.00 off coupons, for some cereals that will only knock it down to about 2.50 to 3.00. Is that considered a good deal or does cereal go on sale often enough to be able to use a cereal coupon that will expire in about 6 weeks? Sorry for the questions. Just excited about stock piling, seeing all the frozen veggies I scored (mostly for free) really motivates me.

Good for you for trying to learn, Vanessa! They key to maximizing coupons is to match them up with a sale. There should definitely be some opportunities to use these within the next few weeks.

Just an example of the savings that you can have is Target has Kellogg’s cereal on sale this week for $2.75. They also have a deal where if you buy 5 boxes you receive a $5 Target gift card. So if you buy 5 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal and use 5 of the $1 off coupons, you’ll pay $8.75. But then you can deduct $5 from that because you’ll receive the GC to use on something else, making your actual cost $3.75 in total or $0.75 per box!

CVS has cereal on sale this week and I got each box for $1.50 after coupon so find a store that double coupons and this is a great offer. I think I will pick up a couple of papers this weekend also. We use 1 or 2 boxes of cereal a week.

Melanie, they were in my Red Plum/Valassis insert today. Did you receive it? As far as I know they were not going to be regional.

I got the Red Plum/Valassis insert, but we did not have any Kellogs coupons in them. I actually bought 3 papers and still none!
