My kids had a blast with these items, and they really did keep them entertained for a significant period of time — especially the patio set. My 3-year-old was excited when the Timmy Time plush showed up, but his eyes really lit up when he saw the patio set box, and he insisted that we put it together right away. It was raining that day, so we set it up in the living room, and my three youngest played restaurant with it all day.

My oldest boys were completely enamored with the Pirates of the Caribbean toys. They’re all about playing pirates, and the glowing ring that came with one of the figures was the perfect complement to their pirate garb.

    He does really great if he is emulating what I’m doing in his play room. LIke I cook, he cooks. I vacuum, he vacuums etc.

    Our library offers Tumbleweeds, which features books along with narration and animation. Great way to score a break, or you can sit with your child and enjoy the books together!

    As a mother of 3 small boys, keeping kids entertained is virtually impossible. The oldest 2 will indulge in video games for hours if we let them though!

    Well when it’s nice out my son LOVES to playoutside especially on his swing set and if it not nice out he likes to play his ds

    I hook up the splash mat for my daughter and let her run through it while I get to sit and watch her. I get to elax and watch her have fun! win win!

    My daughter loves music so I put on the radio or one of her kids bop CDs an it’s keeps her entertained for quite a while

    My 2 yr old loves digging in the dirt. So I give him his play garden tools and he gets to play in my unused flower beds.

    Letting my kids play with play-doh at the kitchen table or putting up the pop up tent keeps my kids occupied for a little while.

    I give the kids a broom and mop and let them clean the floor. Or water squirt bottles and a washcloth and they clean the table and chairs. HOURS of fun and productive for me!

    My favorite way to keep my kids entertained is to set up a good arts and craft activity that requires lots of time to complete….like beading necklaces, or creating an “all about me book”.

    I only let my daughter watch tv when the baby is napping. That way it limits tv time in a way she can understand, plus both my kids are busy and I can get some things done!
