The following review is from the Deal Seeking Mom project administrator, Mandi Ehman:
As the weather gets warmer, spring cleaning is on a lot of people’s minds and Arm & Hammer and Electrolux want to help Deal Seeking Mom readers tackle this big project with products that make cleaning easier and our homes healthier.
Arm & Hammer
We’re all familiar with the orange box of Arm & Hammer baking soda which naturally reduces household odors in refrigerators, pantries and trashcans and can be used as a natural cleaning agent, but Arm & Hammer also has a line of cleaning products that use the power of baking soda to help you tackle specific cleaning jobs around your home, including:
- Arm & Hammer Clean Shower
- Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Shaker
- Arm & Hammer Scrub Free Cleanser
- Arm & Hammer Carpet & Fabric Odor Eliminator
- Arm & Hammer Essentials Trigger Spray
- Arm & Hammer Trash Can Deodorizer
- Arm & Hammer Fabric Softener Sheets
In addition, Arm & Hammer vacuum bags and filters are allergist recommended and offer HEPA filtration, which keeps 99.97% of small particles like dust, pollen and pet dander from being re-introduced into the air. With more than 120 different styles of vacuum accessories, there are Arm & Hammer filters for nearly all brands and models of vacuum cleaners.
Electrolux
Our family has always been a huge fan of Electrolux appliances, and we recently bought our first Electrolux vacuum, the Electrolux ErgoRapido Bagless/Cordless Stick Vacuum, which we love for daily vacuuming to keep up with the crumbs and dirt that our four girls seem to create.
So when Electrolux offered us the opportunity to try the Electrolux Versatility bagless/upright model, we were excited to see if it would live up to the standard set by the stick vacuum. It’s hard for us to find a vacuum that works well on our hand-crafted custom wood floors without scratching them up, but we were hopeful this would do the trick while providing us with more cleaning power than the stick vacuum or our resident Shop Vac.
The box arrived, and my husband immediately unpacked it and began vacuuming, and it really did live up to our expectations. The innovative handle quickly releases a telescoping wand system that reaches up to 14 feet. We’ve rarely used vacuum attachments in the past because of the extra work of hooking them up or switching power to the wand, but this process is automatic in the Versatility, making it easy to quickly dust a high shelf, vacuum hair off the couch or clean up crumbs in the snack drawer.
Additionally, the Versatility vacuum offers:
- A three-stage cyclonic suction system that separates most of the dirt from the air before it reaches the filter, so the filter stays clean and the vacuum retains maximum cleaning power.
- A bottom-empty dust cup to make emptying it easy.
- A HEPA filter that removes 99.97% of small particles from the air while vacuuming and includes charcoal technology to absorb and eliminate odors.
- Quick and easy switching from hard floor to carpet mode, making it easy to vacuum your entire home.

My spring cleaning list includes a lot of things. We’ve got a new house and it came with super dirty blinds we probably won’t replace because of cost. I’m hoping to get these cleaned before our baby comes, but I dread leaning over the tub to do it. I’ve been slowly decluttering as well. I’ll also be cleaning our storage and taking all our baby things out. Other than that it’s cleaning as usual.

Spring cleaning for us is going to include going through all the piles of papers laying around, going through the closets and cleaning them out and then a general clean of all the rooms (dusting, sweeping/vacuuming, etc). Least favorite thing to do is clean the bathrooms. :)

Spring cleaning starts with me sending my son and husban out for the day. I start in each bedroom and go through the dressers, etc. then I move to the living room, kitchen and then bathrooms. I blast the stereo the whole time. By the end of the day I feel like I’ve really accomplished something. Thanks for the chance.
