    I motivate my kids to read by doing all the kids summer reading freebies, like the one at Barnes and noble for free books if you read 8 books. Also our local library has the same type of program!! They love picking out free books!!!

    I signed my kids up for the summer reading program at the library. My daughter absolutely loves this series!!

    I babysit my nieces three days a week in the summer so we wrote up a reading list (I wrote and they chose based on cover lol) of 10 books they’d like to borrow and read from the library. When they are done, we check it off by placing a sticker next to the title! :)

    i get my kids to read by doing the ‘read for 1/2 hour, get 1/2 hour tablet time’.

    When a child of mine finishes a book I let them decide what treat or trip they would like to do the following day. So far it’s been working great.

    My husband built a free little library and we put books in it for the neighborhood kids to read.

    My daughter is reading 1 book a week this summer and doing a book report each Friday. I motivate her by handing her a weekly allowance after the book report is completed.
