As you can imagine, laundry is a never-ending chore around here with five active kids. all® Small & Mighty® laundry detergent is one of my preferred brands, and I love the convenience the new 96-load bottle. Of course it doesn’t last anywhere close to six months around here, but I appreciate the ease of dispensing it and its stain-fighting capabilities!
Two Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a coupon for a free bottle of all® Small & Mighty® 3x Concentrate (up to $6.50)! These would be great to hold onto until the next BOGO sale at CVS so that you can get TWO free bottles of detergent!
To enter, leave me a comment with your best money-saving laundry tip.
Here’s a little tip from me to you — I can generally find a better price on the smaller bottles of All Small & Mighty, so I save my larger 96-load bottle and refill it with them!

My best laundry money saving tip is this: I don’t buy stain removers. I simply apply a small amount of All directly to the spot and let it soak in while the washer is filling with water and I’m loading the other clothes. Then I just toss it in as usual. I’ve gotten everything from mud to blood out of my son’s football pants this way!
Molly
I always use a little less detergent then what is recommended- still does just as great- and usually gives me atleast 1 or 2 more loads per container!
Kate
I wash on cold as often as I can with my front loading washing machine … this has cut down on water use and our heating bill.
Thanks for the giveaway!

My best laundry saving money tip is to cut your dryer sheets in half. They work just the same as a full sheet but your box lasts twice as long!
Joy
I just use a little less than called for.
Jenni
I always use cold water to wash my clothing. Stains still come out and colors stay as bright when using coldwater detergent.
Mama Koala
Cut the dryer sheets in half!
Christina
I can’t really say that this is MINE because I got it from the Duggar’s. BUT I promise it works!
CHEAP fabric softener:
Get a 5 gallon bucket and pour 1 full bottle of any brand fabric softener in it. Take the empty bottle and fill it with water twice – add water to bucket. Take 4 cheap sponges and add them to the bucket. When you are ready to use, wring out 1 sponge and add it to the dryer as you would a dryer sheet.
I used to cut my dryer sheets in half, but this is much cheaper!

My laundry tip is a pretreater called SA8. It’s associated with quixtar, which I am not a part of, but it’s the best pretreater I have tried. It’s the only product of theirs I did like.

I always use a little less detergent than called for and make sure I have a full load of laundry each time :) Sometimes I just use a downy ball with a little vinegar instead of using dryer sheets.

I try to get as many free samples as I can and even if something doesn’t work for my daughter with sensitive skin I wash my husband’s or my son’s stuff in it.

1. I save money by putting three cap fulls of liquid fabric softner and a plastic container and adding about12 ounces of water. I put a sponge in there. When I am drying a load of clothes, I get the soaked sponge and squeeze out some of the liquid. I then throw the sponge into the dryer. It softens the load just fine.
2. I added your button to my sidebar on my website.
3. I registered and joined the forum.
4. I subscribed to your email.

My best money-saving laundry tip is to do laundry less. I do bigger loads. It helps make my detergent last longer and saves on the water and electric bill. I also always use coupons paired with sales. So I’m not consistant with my brand however I do get great laundry detergent (not the cheap kind (in quality) for a great deal that way). And, since it’s a high quality brand I can do the larger loads and still get my clothes clean and fresh.

I always always always wash on cold unless its really dirty. I also wash my husbands jeans and work shirts (he’s construction and works in a steel yard….well right now for the next couple weeks still). Anyhow the first time I dont use detergent… the second thats when I do. I helps by getting out the regular dirt and grim… then really cleans it. I used to just wash them twice…but that used twice as much detergent.

Great, this is my brand!! I use the Free&Clear for my husband and son who have sensitive skin.
My laundry money saving tips: I use less detergent and fabric softener than what’s called for. I use dryer balls in the dryer. I wash on cold. I guess my tips aren’t that revolutionary but they work for me! :)

I wash my laundry on cold. I also register for samples. I recently ran out of detergent so I used my free samples and was able to do the whole weeks worth of clothes! When I do buy detergent I pair a coupon with a sale to get it as cheap as I can!

I use 2-4 dryer balls instead of dryer sheets bue to my daugher’s sensitive skin. They work pretty well on static cling.

The way I save money on doing laundry is wash in cold water and stock up only on a sale to last till then.
Teresa
In order to save money all the way around, I use a front loader washer which uses less water altogether. I follow by using only cold water to wash my laundry and I use much less detergent than what a top loading washer requires. This is how I save money on water, electricity, and detergent. Email: [email protected]. Thank you in advance for the detergent. I’ve used ALL Small & Mighty before and like it.
