Giveaway: $100 Walmart Gift Card

November 28, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

If you were excited about my $50 Walmart gift card giveaway, I’m hoping you’ll be doubley excited about a $100 Walmart gift card!

That’s right – I’ve got a $100 gift card ready to send out to make one Deal Seeking Mom reader’s Christmas a little merrier, and I’ve been assured that this will definitely arrive in time for the holidays.

I’ll make entering easy for everyone!

Check out the new Walmart 2008 Holiday Gift Guide as well as the Walmart website and let me know what gifts you’d spend this cool $100 on.  I’d like to know what the item (or items) is, who it’s a gift for, and why you think it would knock their socks off this Christmas.  Maybe this will help give us some ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people we all know!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment sharing what gifts you would purchase with this $100 gift card answering my questions above!

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winner easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me simplify the process!

Prize:
1 $100 Walmart Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, December 1st. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment number and post the winner on Tuesday, December 2nd. Good luck!

While you’re in a contest entering mood, don’t forget to check out the Giveaway Gathering for a variety of contests being hosted on Deal Seeking Mom readers’ blogs!

I’d spend it on gifts. I still need to find gifts for the nieces. What do 5 & 6 yo little girls want for Christmas, anyway?

I would use the giftcard for one of the color ipods that are in the gift catalog. that would be for my husband who whines that my kids and I have one of those “pod-dy” things, as he says, but he doesn’t have one. it would definitely blow him away.

I agree with the comment that the $ would probably be best spent on groceries at this time of the year. Not very exciting, I know, but necessary.

Something for my wife to pamper herself (not sure what that would be exactly though).

My son has an ex-girlfriend , Tiffany, who fell on really hard times and has now chosen to live on the streets rather than stay in a substance abuse program long enough to get well. Her family can no longer cope with her problems and she isn’t ready to conform to shelter rules. I would use the Walmart card to get her personal care items she needs to survive in the meantime (or convert the $100 card into smaller ones to give her periodically so she wouldn’t be tempted to sell them to someone else). My heart goes out to her and I hope that someone helping her survive until she is ready to deal with her problems will maybe make a difference for her in the future.

I would give the gift card itself to my ex-daughter-in-law and her husband. They have a brand new baby and there are some baby things they could use! (Yep, she is still our “daughter” and we love her new hubby, too :) Thanks for the great giveaway.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
