Target has an awesome ad just inside the front cover of People magazine. If you tear off the front cover, fold it up, stuff it with 5 plastic Target shopping bags, and mail it postage-paid to Target by 11/30/08, they’ll send you a coupon for a free Target Retote reusable shopping tote!
Don’t have a copy of People magazine? You can stuff 5 Target bags in a plain envelope and mail it to the following address, but you’ll have to pay the postage yourself.
Use any 8½ x11″ or larger envelope. Be sure to affix postage and include your return address.
Send your clean, used Target shopping bags to:
TerraCycle
121 New York Avenue
Trenton, NJ 08638
You can expect to receive your coupons in early January, and they will be redeemable in-store at Target on or before 1/31/09.

I’ve had my Retote bag for a couple of weeks now and love it. The bag’s capacity is about 15% larger than comparable canvas sacks available at most supermarkets but the handle is MUCH sturdier. Naturally, the message it sends is wonderful.
The bags remain on sale at my local Target store for just $6.
